Nice. But need more pics.
This is just an old Mom’s opinion but I think when you get that tall a heel... you go from looking attractive to uh... shall we say... less than an honorable woman. Just my two cents worth.
Hooker shoes.
too far for women’s health?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
doubt it, but they do look stupid.
If a woman can put up with these high-risers,fine...i’m a woman and happen to think they’re sexy.Due to anatomical misgivings,I can’t wear them but like to see them worn.I also happen to think if they wear them and have irreversible bone,joint or nerve damage,that’s on them.The long and short (or tall,as the case may be )of it is-leave people alone and let them eat what they want,wear what they want and do what they want.If it’s not illegal,harmful to others,or infringing on their rights,well,what’s the problem?
Many of these shoes appear to be downright dangerous - and I don’t mean just back problems. I think there ought to be a law requiring a helmet while wearing these.
I was in NY a couple of weeks ago and saw so many of these shoes in the stores - but don’t know where you’d wear them - you’d kill yourself on the streets of NY in these. There was one pair that was made out of some animal’s hair - the hair went to a point over the toe area and I think you’d need to comb and hairspray these shoes. The heels were humungous and they had no backs - sort of like a clog style. The salesman saw me gaping at these and said quietly - with a subtle smile - “they’re almost sold out”.
High heels are a turn off for me, I don’t like them at all.
I read about a club in New York; it only lets in women on 4 inch heels or higher. It would be so much fun if a woman who has to wear orthotic shoes of some sort sued them for discrimination against people with disabilities.
In all my life I only found one pair of 4 inch heels I can wear, and it’s not terribly comfortable after an hour or so.
In fact, the last time I saw someone soliciting that wasn't dressed like a total slob was back in the early 90s. Since then it's been all down hill as far as women's wardrobe whether they're a "ho" or not. I can't believe women work so hard to be unattractive these days, but there's no other explaination, they want to be unattractive and heels are only a small part of the issue.
JMHO
The Mail need a puff piece, eh?
As long as young and/or fashion conscious people have extra income they’ll go for the latest craze even if it’s stupid. Remember the 80’s and multiple ear piercings? Given all the bizarre piercing, tattooing and exposing various body parts, sagging pants and the like, 5” inch heals are the least of our worries when it comes to fashion dangers.
Young women will walk on their toes for a while and when they’ve twisted their ankles enough times, fallen or whatever they’ll go on to what’s next.
Sounds like one of those nail-biting personal decisions that are oh so elusive any more.
If one is going to drive an SUV, eat McDonald's, go out in the sun unprotected, own legal firearms, cook on a deadly charcoal grill, or smoke they may as well wear shoes that are what they want to wear....unless of course one is a droning anti-American sheeple.
Then vote democrat and do what you are told to do!
IMAO, they cross the line into whore-ish. Plus, its seems women can barely walk when wearing them. No grace at all.
How one walks affects one's spine for life.
To me, a woman who does love fashion, I have my limits. I will not let a gay male fashion designer make me torture myself, make me unsafe on the street in so many ways, and keep me from enjoying the feeling of strong, flexible feet that get me everywhere I want to go. And look great in a pedicure because they are not all bunioned and contorted.
To me, higher heels are EXACTLY the same as ancient Chinese footbinding.
Men who like a well turned calf must note that for decades a decent 2" heel turned a woman's calf nicely but allowed her some comfort and safety, ESPECIALLY IF NOT WORN ALL DAY. But upwards of 2 inches, this is seriously footbinding.
Men, remember that the Chinese men of yore LOVED the look of the tiny malformed stumps the Chinese women attempted to walk on.
How is this any different?
I can’t tolerant heels at all.Never have been able to.When I see heels like this seldom do the women look happy when they have them on.They may look good but to me they look like an easy way to break an ankle really easily.
Funny thing,
I’ve seen Cathrine Zeta Jones Dressed up in these and she is HOT.
Where as saaay, Mo Dowd,,,
not so much.
Maybe The Gov wants to outlaws those too? ‘for our own good’ of course. Makes me want to get some, darn it!
They’re not dangerous if women only wear them while lying down.
