FR is usually full of smart guys unlike liberals. Had to ask this question, anyone who owns a website probably heard on Filezilla or just heading to your host cpanel to change or update info on your site.
Our IT guy is on vacation and we wanted to add some stuff (specifically images) to sub sections say, departments section A or go SECTION B. Like ESPN with basketball as 1 section to NFL to section 2.
We opened up Filezilla and all we could find is folder DOCS, CGI BIN, DISTRIBUTOR and IMAGES. The actual sections are missing so we have no clue where to place the images in the specific sections. You'd think FTP clients could spread out the folders easily. The host FTP is even worse. Just CGI and Logs-Apache. Checked every folder and couldn't find the sections or sub links. How do you find those folders.
Yes, we used SEARCH on Filezilla where we find the images already in the site, but the actual sections where to place them specifically is nowhere. help?

Best wait until your IT guy gets back. Otherwise he will spend hours correcting your mistakes, and will hate you forever.

Is this host using the actual product called Cpanel or is this something else?
With Cpanel, when you log in via FTP, you will find the web files in the public_html directory.
From the directories you listed, ‘docs’ sounds like the one to check for web files.
Unless it is absolutely critical, I would wait for the return of your IT person. One small mistake and you are dead. By the way, what the hell are you doing with only one IT person ... any company wishing to make a mark has an IT backup?
the other IT guy is working on our other projects, some with DNS stuff i wouldnt touch
The cpanel is under the FTP of Godaddy, the hosting domain. I’ll check the html directory..
Did you consult your other IT guy? On the off chance he might be able to help you on your current problem?
Double click it to open the folder.
The other IT guy is on another location and we situated the 2 for personal reasons. One guy worked and ‘screwed’ up the other guy’s work and mayhem ensued, let’s put it that way.
/www, /root folder, /root...won’t work. Error, failure to retrieve listing in red on the top panel.
Right click top panel select clear all.
Disconnect from server and attempt to reconnect again.
Pay attention to messages in top panel.
Left click on it and select a previous connection
(Host, Username, Password, Port).
Click on the connection in the dropdown menu and see
if you get a successful Directory listing.

On the top panel, right click only shows: enter custom command, copy to clipboard and clear all’
