Missouri football Coach Gary Pinkel was arrested by Boone County Sheriff's Department officers Wednesday night on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
Pinkel was pulled over at 10:15 p.m. on Keene Street just north of Broadway, according to the incident report. He was stopped for lane and signal violations, Chief Deputy Major Tom Reddin said.
The deputies developed probable cause that Pinkel was driving under the influence of alcohol, according to the report. He was cooperative with officers and taken into custody at the Boone County Jail. He posted $500 bond for the first-offense DWI arrest.

But wait he is making $3,000,000 a year as coach of the Missouri Tigers and is mentoring young men by example.
Mike Alden should not give Pinkel a free pass on this situation as it would send the wrong message to anybody who has lost a loved one due to drunk driver. Pinkel had in the pass suspended two of his players for two games in a row for the same violation. So at best Pinkel should sit out the final two games this year suspended.
Will that happen under Mike Alden? We know that answer as everything Alden has done over the years has been a train wreck. Quin Snyder, Mike Anderson, Frank Haith, The Paige Arena among notable thinks. Anderson is the Teflon AD.
Will this cost Pinkel in the long run? I can bet he is off the Penn State and Ohio State potential coaching lists as these schools have enough baggage that they wouldn't touch him now.
Was Pinkel set up by the Boone County Police or Columbia police to keep him off the hunted list by Penn State or Ohio State?
Maybe Mike Alden figured out a way to keep his successful coach home in Columbia by setting him up for a DWI.... Naw that didn't happen unless your a conspiracy theorist.
Pinkel needs to be disciplined the same way one of his players would be disciplined or under the written guidelines of the University of Missouri code of conduct for an employee.
I bet this never would have happened in Happy Valley.
Pinkle got drunk because he just saw Missouri’s 2012 SEC schedule......... ;-)
Never in the Big 10 but hey Mizzou is heading to the SEC where it probably is common.....

I dare you to try and name 5 of those “bunches of others” who are coaches who are pedophiles or have a DUI. Come on; I’m sure there are at least 5 names you can give us. If not, quit showing your friggin’ ignorance.
Well, now, I don’t know about pedophiles, but two or three other college coaches have been arrested so far this school year on DUI charges.

Mizzou is going though a rebuilding year, so to speak.
But they were still able to beat A&M at their house, and defeated Texas last week.
They will be competative in the SEC. More then A&M in my opinion. Heck, everyone thought Nebraska would tank in the Big 10......
Never ceases to amaze me...$3 million per annum and he can't hire a driver? Hell, most any student could use the extra $$. Give a guy $100 bill to drive you around. Avoid messes like this.
Last year one of MU's coach's got busted for drinking in parking lot in a parked car. At least Pinkel was doing something...

Out of how many thousands of football coaches? How many Lawyers arrested for DUI? How many Judges? How many doctors? How many local, State and Federal politicians? How many Sunday School Teachers?

Don’t have too. I worked in legal in the Army. I KNOW how many we used to discipline. You on the other hand are a complete and utter dimocrat style jack ass and this is my last response to you and your child like ways. Bye ass hole.
