President Obama did not include any reference to God during his weekly address titled, “On Thanksgiving, Grateful for the Men and Women Who Defend Our Country.” His remarks were void of any religious references although Thanksgiving is a holiday traditionally steeped in giving thanks and praise to God.
The president said his family was “reflecting on how truly lucky we truly are.”
For many Americans, though, Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on how blessed and thankful they are.
But nowhere in the 11-paragraph address does he mention the Almighty.
Instead, he references the Civil War, two World Wars, and the Great Depression – noting that “Americans drew strength from each other.” However, President Abraham Lincoln said the nation drew its strength from God. He declared as much in his 1863 Thanksgiving Day proclamation:

So much for the president thinking that he's in any way like Lincoln. In another proclamation from 1863 with regards to a national day of prayer and fasting, Lincoln says the following:

Will Obama ever be so humbled as to reinvoke this for the USA? I would suppose it takes being a Christian to do so, rather than a devotee of a "black liberation theology" church . . .A Proclamation.

We have forgotten the gracious hand which preserved us in peace, and multiplied and enriched and strengthened us; and we have vainly imagined, in the deceitfulness of our hearts, that all these blessings were produced by some superior wisdom and virtue of our own. Intoxicated with unbroken success, we have become too self-sufficient to feel the necessity of redeeming and preserving grace, too proud to pray to the God that made us!
It behooves us then, to humble ourselves before the offended Power, to confess our national sins, and to pray for clemency and forgiveness.
Now, therefore, in compliance with the request, and fully concurring in the views of the Senate, I do, by this my proclamation, designate and set apart Thursday, the 30th day of April, 1863, as a day of national humiliation, fasting and prayer. And I do hereby request all the People to abstain, on that day, from their ordinary secular pursuits, and to unite, at their several places of public worship and their respective homes, in keeping the day holy to the Lord, and devoted to the humble discharge of the religious duties proper to that solemn occasion. …

No luck at all. Obama is very skilled at rekindling old hatreds and grievances, pitting one group against another. No management skills, but cunning skill at inciting hatreds. No luck whatsoever.

All one can do is pray for our president, for some sort of conversion. Nothing is impossible for our God — God is bigger than all of this.
Have Faith.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
He did this not once but on 2 separate occasions, so it's no shock that he left any mention of God out of the Thanksgiving Address. I mean after all it's only a holiday dedicated to thanking the Almighty for the blessings we enjoy.
A few conservatives have said in effect that you learn what 0bama is really thinking by examining the things he omits and the things he says on those few occasions when he's off teleprompter rather than when he's mouthing what his handlers have written. Joe the plumber and his comments to the Brazilian president about their oil well are two incidents that leap to mind.
How undeservedly “lucky” your family is, Obama.
Thanks to many apolitical people who said “it’s time for a black President,” you and yours will never want for money. Those uninformed, busy American voters didn’t realize that “any black” president would not do. You have and will profit nicely as you decimate our parents’ and grandparents’ savings and retirement funds, keep us from decent employ, and addict underclasses to handouts for generations.
We have nothing in you to be thankful for.
This is a perfect insight into progressive thinking. Remember, the wealthy didn't get that way through their own hard work, sacrifice and risk taking, they've "won life's lottery".
They've lost control in a lot of states since the last election, and they can't count on being able to make sure their absentee ballots get sent out too late for them to vote any more.
Question: Is ZerObama raising his(?) two daughters as good little Muslims?
If so how soon will we see a Muslim marriage ceremony in the Rose Garden?

This phrase still makes me chuckle, I have to confess, especially since "akbar" is Hebrew for "mouse" and Muslims get mad when people ask "does this phrase mean 'Allah is a mouse'?"

Obama is hardly the most powerful man on the planet.
