Former Minnesota Vikings quarterback Joe Kapp, a 73-year-old Canadian Football League Hall of Famer, got into a fight with another CFL Hall of Famer, 74-year-old defensive lineman Angelo Mosca, at a league alumni function Friday, an incident caught on video.

Kapp and Mosca reportedly have issues stemming back to the 1963 Grey Cup, the CFL championship game, because of a supposed late hit by Hamilton's Mosca on Kapp's British Columbia teammate.

I know baseball players will carry a grudge over to the next season - but 48 years - wow.

I know I shouldn’t... but I can’t stop laughing at this video. Especially when the one man swings his cane. I guess the rivalry is still going on....

Kapp got into a fight with King Kong Mosca?

Okay, so he's 73 years old. Still.

When I was about 14 years old, I saw Angelo “King Kong” Mosca fight Larry “The Axe” Henning in a AWA wrestling match at the Minneapolis convention center.

Well, it wasn’t really a wrasslin match. It was what they promoted as a “football match”. They each put cash on a pole in their corner and the first one to get the other’s cash was the winner and kept the money. They wore football helmets and started the match in a three-point stance in the center of the ring. Needless to say, the helmets quickly became melee weapons and there was a lot of blood. It was pretty cool.

Dana White is trying to sign Kapp for a UFC fight. He’d probably last longer than Cain Valesquez did.

On a side note Kapp’s former team the BC Lions won the CFL Grey Cup Championship yesterday beating the Winnipeg Blue Bombers 34-23.

That’s actually pretty sad. I’m sorry two old survivors who have so much in common can’t find a way to grow up and enjoy each others company.

I call that old school. Always liked Kapp. He didn’t have pretty boy form, but he won football games.

My oldest son was a pretty decent HS QB. I always told him that my kind of QB had enough nads to stand up to a big defensive lineman and at least threaten to kick his a$$, which he did. He was also big and strong enough come out of the pocket and knock a linebacker in the dirt down field. To this day, ten years after he played, he is remembered for being a tough QB and a good leader on the field.

Ole Joe seems to live up to that philosophy also. Real men are hard to find these days. Two thumbs up for Joe!! I loved watching him play!

One of the most awesome stories I ever heard was about Bob Gibson playing in an old-timers’ game years after retiring, and throwing at the guy who was the last batter Gibson faced in the majors - Pete Lacock. He gave up a home run to Lacock, the last batter he faced. Bob went after him with payback in the Old Timers game 10 years later!

These guys are driven by immense competitive spirit and pride. That, along with God-given ability, is what made them great.

BTW, this Alabama boy has seen the Muir redwoods. It is a beatiful place.

Considering Mosca started it by whacking Kapp upside his head with the cane, I'd say it was real........

Lesson learned: Never use your your primary means of transportation as a precursor to a fist fight you can't win while standing.......

LOL, talk about a late hit! That was like 50 years late. Still, Kapp’s got a pretty good right for an old geezer. Caught Mosca right on the button. Pathetic.

He almost took the Vikes over the top in a SB.

Mosca should brush up on his D-fense.;-)

Old Joe Kapp... I recall him--

Didn't he get blasted in Super Bowl IV 23-7... by my old Dallas Texans disguised as Kansas City Chiefs?

Yep, I recall... the same!
