Government certainly has a right and a duty to legislate against rape, murder and incest. Those involve force and violating the rights of others. But I don’t think government has any business legislating private morality such as who you can have sex with (excepting children), what you can think, what kind of food you can eat or what god you should pray to. Those involve the natural right of self determination. Marriage falls under public morality and can be legislated. It involves consent of others. Likewise with drugs because they impair judgement and are a danger to others besides the one taking them. Likewise abortion because it involves the life of others.
MN, gotta give you credit, half the time you drive me nuts, such as in Ron Paul threads, and the other half, and the other half, I love your articulating of common sense (such as here and in pop-culture/South Park/Romney/humor threads).
You've always been one of my favorites to have a healthy debate with, going all the way back to the '07/'08 Paultard threads. Wish I got to spend a bit more time sparring, but have been busy as all heck lately.

The Communist Manifesto was authored in 1848 by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels. It has little if anything to do with your link, which quotes Cleon Skousen, not the Communist Manifesto.

Constitutionally guaranteed right to free speech applies to the public square. Free Republic is privately owned and run and thus “free speech” doesn’t apply here in all circumstances. Deal with it.

OK. Now this has gotten a bit silly, don’t you think? This is an opinion thread, someone asking for advice on how to deal with a particular situation. I can assure you, without fear of contradiction, that you have studied homosexuality far more than I have, and can cite many more facts about it than I really care to know. There would be no point in my debating you. You win. Congratulations.

Pissed off? No. However, it's important for accuracy to note that it's Cleon Skousen's words that were read into the congressional record, and not an actual communist document stating their goals as many believe. Although, you are the first I've encountered to have believed it was the Communist Manifesto.
As for me being the only one: That doesn't have any bearing on whether or not I'm correct.

Since I don’t know you personally, I base that on your previous posting history and your inability to discuss scientific facts. Now, I’m on a phone typing this in the mountains with poor coverage. If you care to discuss the facts let’s do it sometime soon. You won’t because as you’ve previously demonstrated, you can’t. Just wanted to throw that out there.
