We also cut off food stamps to some 30,000 college students in Michigan. Granholm made all college students eligible regardless of need (We had millionaire trust fund babies getting grub stubs)

This is not per capita, which is a statistical trick they use to make some states seem more welfare dependent.

Here's a map of food stamp usage by county in the US in 2009 (Blue = higher food stamp usage). Looks like it's actually more in the rural South and along the Mexican border than in the big cities.

That map is kind of interesting. It shows some of the most sparsely populated places as having higher concentrations of welfare recipients.

However, I know that some of the northern Michigan counties have 5000 residents total or less so it doesn’t take many to drive the percentage up. Its also important to note that there are few jobs there as well.

I am sorry to throw a kink in your study, but there really isn’t a ‘concentration’ of welfare recipients in this country now.

There used to be; it was once called Public Housing. The Democrat Party and Democrat Congress and Presidents (a couple of Republican Presidents, too) saw to it that the leeches were dispersed into the breadth of the country.

SECTION 8 housing. The Government pays leeches to move into your subdivision, community, rural area - anywhere they want to move where a landlord is willing to meet regulations and take government money to house its leeches.

EBT - EITC, AFDC, SCHIP, AFDC, WICs, SNAP and on and on and on. These payments are so diversified and so pervasive you’d be hard put not to find some skank with children (lowlife boyfriends in-tow sometimes) spending YOUR money at WalMart. Where I live, I find it a rare occasion that somebody in front of me in line is paying CASH instead of the Georgia Peach EBT card.

WE ARE SOOOOOO SCREWED. We will not recover from this.

Your legend says it a map of unemployment, not welfare. Thank you, though.
