“Seeing him do live storm reports made us cheer for the hurricane.”

Yeah, for sure. I didn’t like him forty years ago and I still don’t like him. It’s time for him to go the way of other old liberal commentators-maybe do those midnight info-commercials or something...

Geraldo is worst of both worlds. He claims to be Republican but supports most of the far left legislation by Democrats. To the point that he is a joke.

Imus is all over the place. Imus lasted over a decade from 1006 till 2007 at MessNBC. So that points to him being a joke.I have a hard time trusting Imus. All his show was ever good for has been jokes and discussion of sports. Look the guy does great with his charity and what they did to take him off MSNBC was over the top, but he is rino. I haven’t had time to hear Imus anyways. So if he likes Geraldo then what does it say for his opinions.

Also Air America ended last year when it closed shop. If your hearing anyone left from the Air America schedule than it is on a separate liberal/progressive radio station that has decided to pick any show remaining which is being distributed by another company. But, just so you know, most of the lineup in 2009 and early 2010 was left without a job upon the implosion of Air America. This I know from reading about the people who used to host shows on their. I do think some loser named Ron Kuby got picked up by another company. ALSO Thom Hartmann, already was running separately and Air America simulcasted his show.

In Boston Clear Channel dropped progressive talk and now features conservative talk (Rush, Hannity, local hosts) on the same station and it does OK. Meanwhile some guy has to pay a small station to run the prog. talk (nobody would do it otherwise) and he gets no ratings. Then again Boston listeners can get lefty views on taxpayer funded, powerful FM National Public Radio stations, anyway...

A quick search on Ron Kuby shows that he actually was canned in June 2009 by Air America. SO he is no longer on air. Others who at one time were on Air America, over the years, fled to other places. In act many had problems with the changes at Air America, over the years, and left.

Geraldo better be careful. If he is successful in New York he will be labeled the way New Yorkers label successful people. For example, Donald Trump is called “The Donald”. While I wish Geraldo well, I don’t want him to be called “The Geraldo”!

“I don’t see this hurting Rush.”

It won’t hurt Glenn Beck either.

Glenn Beck has a very loyal group of listeners. Geraldo is difficult to take serioously. What is he, 5’1” tall?

“Will we ever be rid of this creep?”

I’d love to see an Alan Colmes vs. Jerry Rivers Death Match! I’d even pay to see that one.

Tell you what, Leni. I’ll start cleaning out the barn, you can make the tickets and we’ll get Stinky to swipe some rope.

We’ll make a fortune!

I liked Crummey. I actually called the station this morning after hearing the Geraldo news and asked the woman what happened to Crummey. She of course didn’t say anything just that his show is gone. Told her I would not be listening to Whorealdo. I didn’t agree with Crummey 100%,I didn’t expect to, but he had a quick wit and was pretty much conservative.
I found this crap earlier:

“Cumulus Media, which bought WABC last year, expects Rivera to broaden the station’s audience, which tends to be older, conservative men.

John Dickey, the co-chief operating officer for Cumulus Media, said the company’s market research indicated that “people are interested in hearing a different perspective, a different voice; a more balanced opinion” on talk radio. Dickey said he expected that Rivera would help the station draw younger listeners and more women.” rightperspective.org

Last I checked I’m not an older conservative man nor were a lot of female callers to Crummey’s show. John Dickey needs to leave off the last 2 letters on his name.
