Newton schools are asking parents to have their kids leave so-called "celebratory" clothing at home.
Theyre talking about accessories or clothes given out at a birthday parties or other celebrations that kids then wear to class on Monday.
School officials say this is becoming a trend at Oak Hill and other Newton middle schools.
They say it leads to other kids feeling excluded and reminded they were not included in the festivities.

Weird. Are parents paying for the post-party apparel in some sort of our-party-had-more-beautiful-people-than-your-party competition?
“My kid is more popular than your kid” bumper stickers would be cheaper, though probably less effective.
So are we also gonna make parents remove those “My kid is a straight-A student at So-And-So Elementary School?”
At least make them take the Edwards stickers off their car.
Not bad. They can contact Hillary Clinton’s office to find out where to buy one.
