COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) White Castle, a 90-year-old hamburger chain known for its square "slider" burgers, is sipping on the idea of offering alcoholic beverages as it tests beer and wine sales at a restaurant in Indiana.
The food famously craved by stoners in the 2004 movie "Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle" can be had with a glass of wine or a domestic or seasonal beer at a Lafayette, Ind., restaurant that fuses a conventional White Castle with a new concept for the company called Blaze Modern BBQ. Wine costs $4.50 and beers start at $3.

These guys know of a BETTER product White Castle can sell to increase profits ...
or stoned ...
You don’t go to White Castle to get alcohol.
You go to White Castle because you’ve had enough alcohol.
Oddly enough, White Castle Hamburgers are one of the few things I miss from back east... along with good pizza, good roast beef sandwiches, beefsteak tomatoes, and Heileman's Old Style beer... My family has a standing order to bring me out a suitcase full of Sliders anytime they return home.
You are supposed to drink the booze BEFORE the sliders, not WITH the sliders.
Go to White Castle for a meal fit for a King!
(Whose old enough to remember those ads?)
Here king, KING! G’boy!
It will take at least 80 proof to cut the grease.
Family restaurant...right?
Funnily enough, it’s usually fairly upscale folks who do “events” at White Castle. It’s the irony that they’re going for, and WC is happy to oblige as they make decent money. When I was a teenager, I was visiting relatives in the midwest, and we had gone to a WC for a snack. While there, my aunt heard that a bride and groom were coming in for a “celebration” like that, and stayed to watch. I went through the entire menu while we waited, but they did eventually show up in a limo, wearing formalwear, and had brought champagne along with them.
My husband is from Yonkers, NY, and he says he has YET to find pizza better than he got there. Even my homemade! I guess it’s the water?
No offense, but being born in Chicago,it is my solemn duty to despise New York pizza... But Chicago pizzas - now there is a treasure... ; )
And btw, I know that Chicago is mid-west, but anything east of the Rockies (and especially east of the Big Muddy) is 'back east' from here... :D
We had a Capone’s pizza place in Florida back in the 70’s and they specialized in deepdish, Chicago style pizza. I really liked it and, just between you and me, I prefer it over the thin droppy crust that is NY style.
ABC Pizza on W. Hillsboro in Tampa makes good Chicago style pies. But it seems nobody within 150 miles or so of NYC can make a real authentic NY style pizza. White Castles “murder burgers” as we called them back in daBronx and a couple of brewskis, now that’s what I call a gourmet meal! ;)
when I lived in Tampa (20 yrs ago) a retired NYC cop moved in down the street. He was so frustrated by the absence of NY style pizza that he opened NYPD, New York Pizza Delivery. He had quite a loyal following, as like me, many shared his frustration.
As you get drunk your ability to discern goes down. Sort of like how ugly turns beautiful as well around 2 am.

Right on. those sliders will sober you up in jiffy, but they don’t prevent indigestion.
It took them ts long to realize that nearly everyone that comes in is already drunk?
