Congrats Baylor Bears: Win #10

And win the Baylor Bears most assuredly did by a score of 67-56 in the Valero Alamo Bowl from San Antonio.

A defensive struggle it was not but an exciting game with nonstop scoring it was. A number of records fell in tonight's Alamo Bowl as Baylor came back strong after being down by 18 points. 2011 Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III led the Bears to their first bowl win since 1992.

It's always satisfying when a private Christian school (especially one from Texas and one with Ken Starr as President) beats a liberal, state-run institution from the left coast.

It WAS a fantastic game to watch! Both teams were able to score frequently within a minute or so of possession on numerous occasions. ...Washington probably lost because of their turnovers that allowed Baylor a couple of extra possessions. .....Man! Looks like both teams need to recruit some defensive players. ....Great game, and I’m glad the Big XII won again, like the Longhorns did. I’m really tired of the East and West Coast sports writers dissing the Big XII. I think Oklahoma plays Friday.

What a year for the Bears. In basketball, the girls beat UConn, the boys are in the top 10 and this win in football.

Law School class of ‘65; wife class of ‘63.

What a great story the Baylor Bears are!

For every long suffering fan, hoping there’s light at the end of the tunnel, Baylor gives inspiration!

Slogging through the wilderness of 3, 2, and 1 win seasons makes this phenomenal season just that much sweeter!

Congrats to Baylor and especially to those fans who supported the program when it was most needed!

And the seemingly endless parade of coaches through the turnstiles since Grant Teaff. I hope that Art Briles stays there. Even if RG3 goes (and that looks almost certain), stability at the head coach position is what the Bears need. I think that's true especially now that the program is on the national map for recruiting.

Most definitely!

Three of four years of first round picks in the NFL Draft (assuming that RG3 declares) isn't going to hurt any either.

I (as a Temple booster) was speaking with someone inside our program and was told that having a first and second round (Mo Wilkerson and Jaiquan Jarrett) pick was a definite plus in attracting better talent.

Most college basketball games don’t have that many points.

It looked like arena football last night.

That's a fact but it was an enormously entertaining game especially on the heels of the defensive struggle of the preceding Florida State-Notre Dame game.

My question is Which team had the best QB last night?

When it counted, Robert Griffin III delivered in the final minutes (assisted by the first real defensive stand of the night by Baylor). Still, Keith Price piled up more impressive numbers with 439 passing yards and four touchdowns. But using the patented "Trent Dilfer Is A Great QB Because He Has A Ring Rule" (TDIAGQBHHARR), RG3 gets the nod in last night's performance.
