"I don't know of any benefits of wolves," said Marilyn Kash, a rancher who runs about 200 head of cattle near Culver.
Ambitions of a natural balance are based on a land devoid of humans, Allen said, but because there are millions of people here it is up to them to manage animals like wolves.
Well said by Kash.
Hunters manage deer, elk and moose on lands beside National Parks, we don't need wolves to manage them.

Now that wolves are back, Ripple said, they've reduced the elk population and trained those that remain to exercise more caution. As a result, elk spend less time snacking on young trees along the park's creeks...and way too much time running for their freaking lives.
My uncle told me he kind of wanted wolves to move into his area. "I've never shot a wolf before..."

DNR map of authenticated wolf packs and attacks in WisconsinOne of my State Senators sent me this map after I reported a wolf in my back yard about a month ago. Wisconsin has 800 identified wolves at large. When the DNR announced that they were releasing wolves here several years ago, their goal was to achieve 100 animals total. The wolves have decimated deer hunting in the northern part of the state.

I understand that wolves have ancillary benefits to ecosystems, but really, what kind of moron would actually support their introduction into one?

The only debate should be what kind of vegetable do you serve with wolf steak.

It would be better to return the wolves to Portland, Seattle, and San Francisco.

I thought wolves were going extinct a couple of decades ago and desperately need the help of humans, did global warming bring them back?

Ambitions of a natural balance are based on a land devoid of humans, Allen said, but because there are millions of people here it is up to them to manage animals like wolves. If Oregon would start capturing and relocating all the wolves into Portland, Salem, and Eugene, this discussion would soon be finished.

They need to put a pack of wolves in Zuccotti Park to help keep the ecological balance.

Start breeding Irish Wolfhounds like crazy to guard the farm animals. Also, take a pack wolfhounds hiking in the areas where wolves are known to roam and let the nice doggies have some “play time” with the wolves.
All the game wardens and eco-nuts will be able to deduce from the carcasses is that the poor little wolves were killed by some vicious animal.

Best management tool for wolves is .22-250, 243 Win or something similar.
There may even be better ones on the market like the .25-06.

My call to the Dept. of Fish and Wildlife: “There’s a dead wolf in my backyard. Want to send over a couple of your ole boys over here to pick it up or should I just haulem to the dumpster?”
