Ayn Rand and the Prophecy of Atlas Shrugged is a feature length documentary film that examines the resurging interest in Ayn Rand's epic and controversial 1957 novel and the validity of its dire prediction for America. Set in what Novelist and philosopher Rand called 'the day after tomorrow,' Atlas depicts an America in crisis, brought to her knees by a corrupt establishment of government regulators and businessmen with political pull. Despite critical scorn and continued derision from intellectuals on all sides of the ideological spectrum Atlas has remained a popular favorite and today sells more copies than it ever did.

Nowhere in Arizona that I could see! Of course one can read the book and see how close she got it without the movie. It’s clear she used the FDR depression as her guide which is pretty close to the Obama depression.

The link is for the Marcus Theaters only. There are quite a few showings around the country. DVD is where the money will be, of course, and I’ll wait for that. Looks good—all the right people in the preview.

Read the book. I can’t imagine that a movie -—no matter how well crafted-— could be as chilling or as powerful in its message.

Well...I bought four copies of the DVD
Atlas Shrugged Part 1, one for me and three for friends and family
not likely to buy it themselves,
after paying full price to see it in the theater
twice, all in an effort to help make it profitable and encourage the making of Parts 2 and 3.
That's about all I can do...
If I had the means I would bankroll continued filming. If someone close to the production team was to start a fund to accumulate small donations to that end, I'd send something from time to time.
