In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".

stochastic (stuh-KAS-tik) adjective
Involving chance; random; probabilistic.

Example sentence:
"Medicine is a stochastic science -- no doctor can predict the future."
---Sandeep Jauhar; When Doctors Slam the Door; The New York Times; Mar 16, 2003.

Etymology:
From Greek stokhos (aim, target, a pointed stake for an archer to aim at). Earliest documented use: 1662.

The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-)
Practice makes perfect.....post on....

the staged interventions by staff etc. concerned me even more than the philandering.

my neighbor across the street is divorcing. One day a few months back she unloaded her sad tale. He had a mistress and he actually asked the same thing, could he keep her and stay married. Honestly, men are insane. this particular jack@$$ was a dope-smoking libertarian, so it’s not a stretch to hear he wanted a pet mistress to keep around the house.

Thank you! I would have thought that between Clinton’s sexual adventures, all that has been written and told of JFK’s escapades with a score of women, Mark Sanford’s Argentine affair, complete with e-mails (and some of the worst erotic poetry and prose ever), Anthony Weiner’s-um-overexposure, etc, ad nauseum, people would have figured out that politicians are no different from anyone else who has adulterous relationships. In this world of instant information only those who choose to be are unaware of the cold hard facts of life in the real world.

Was the staged intervention due to his philandering? Did he have to take Callista on a cruise to appease her? Inquiring minds want to know.

Bottom line: Dems stuck with Clintoon despite all that.....just like they will with theO and their agenda will flourish. What about our turn? I am learning, I could care less about that if he can win and implement MY agenda.

It is damaging to a teenager to be seduced by an older adult, like a teacher, and the younger the teen, the more damaging. Those individuals do seem to indulge in adulterous relationships in adult life more than teens who had their sexual relationships with age-appropriate peers.

Kids who are just entering puberty-12 or so-who are seduced by same-sex adults or older teens seem more likely to be homosexual as adults then those who are not. Just speaking from my own experience with clients.

Men ARE insane-my ex wanted and asked for an open marriage, too-I find it amusing that they only ask for that after they have been caught bed-hopping...

Call me a cynic if you will, but what was to keep some “volunteer” from deliberately not getting votes certified to ensure their candidate wins? Iowa is too screwed up to count at all.

MEN are toads. Hopping from bed to bed is a sin. The only thing I can say for Newt is that he claims to have changed. Now, if they have another bimbo he is cheating Callista with then I am done with him. If not, then I may just vote for him. I have no idea where I will be when we finally get the chance to vote.

He is undeserving of any sympathy-plenty of men act like that who have not been seduced by an adult when they were a teen-my ex wasn’t-some men are just pigs...

Eating too much cake can be hazardous to your health, especially if it is not your cake...

“Toads”-LMAO-I called MrT5 my prince-I suppose he must have been a frog/toad before, but it wasn’t my kiss that transformed him.

Now that is a shame. Had you worked a salamander into your last post you would have had the Hat Trick of Amphibians.

So much for the playoffs — luck to your guys.
