The Washington state Senate, in an historic action, voted 28 to 21 on Wednesday night to legalize marriage between same-sex partners.

"We ask for your support tonight because marriage is the way society says you are family," said state Sen. Ed Murray, D-Seattle, chief sponsor of the legislation and a gay man in a two-decade partnership.

Regardless of how his colleagues voted, Murray added, they will receive a wedding invite from him. A practicing Catholic, Murray has said he is pained that he will not be able to marry in his church.

The House of Representatives is expected to approve the legislation within a week. Gov. Chris Gregoire, who watched Wednesday night's debate, has become a passionate advocate of marriage equality at the end of what she described as a "personal journey".

Satan is on 24-hour call to arrange more of these "personal journeys". Catholics-in-Name-Only in particular get door to door service.

He’s not a “practicing Catholic”, he’s a pretend Catholic. A fake and a fraud.

State Sen. Steve Litzow, a first-term Eastside Republican, was one of the four Republicans to support marriage equality. "I believe an adult should be able to marry the person they love: It's that simple for me," said Litzow.

Write a bill legalizing incest.

“A practicing Catholic, Murray has said he is pained that he will not be able to marry in his church.”

I’m sure that’s coming soon on the legislative agenda.

marriage equality.
It does not matter. You can call a pig a dove, you can even pass a law that you must call a pig a dove, but at the end of the day a pig is a pig

The Washington state Senate, in an historic action, voted 28 to 21 on Wednesday night to legalize marriage between same-sex partners.

So the Government of Washington votes to legalize perversion. What a shock. Would not live in Washington if they paid me. Maybe we can offer incentives to perverts from other States to move to Washington??

Please tell them to move west of the Cascades if they do. Eastern WA had no part in this. All our local politicians voted against it.

Marriage equality

So will they now be fighting for the muslims to have 4 wives,
some mormons have 8 wives.
How about marrying your daughter in the name of marriage equality.

What a cop out .

Time for all states who has not done it to get off their asses, get the question on the ballot and let the people vote on this like 31 states have already.

Vote out those who approved this and call those people up and let them know you will not vote for them again and you will vote them out.

No excuse sitting there now in their states knowing other states will do this too.

31 states let the people vote and all say normal marriage
other states refuse the people to vote and they force the sham marriage on to them

Initiatives will be filed, signatures will be collected on petitions and we will be voting on this debacle within a year.
