I always liked “Alone Again, Naturally.” Oh wait, that was Gilbert O’Sullivan.

re: bfl

Are you referring to:

1. A logarithmic unit of sound intensity equal to 10 decibel?

or

2: The Babylonian god of the earth; one of the supreme triad including Anu and Ea; earlier identified with En-lil?

I tend to think it’s #1.

LoL. I’m not THAT familiar with The Pirates of Penzance.

My son, a “Little Genius” type with a near-editic memory ,saw a production of The HMS Pinafore and has been singing the lyrics — ALL OF THEM — ever since in the car. (You should hear him sing the female parts — hilarious!).

His favorite:

For in spite of all temptations
To belong to other nations,
He remains an Englishman!
He remains an Englishman!

At the moment, he’s now singing Haywire Mac’s songs about bums — Big Rock Candy Mountain in particular. I’ve told him NOT to sing the dirty lines!

One evening as the sun went down and the jungle fire was burning
Down the track came a hobo hiking and he said boys I’m not turning
I’m headin for a land that’s far away beside the crystal fountains
So come with me we’ll go and see the Big Rock Candy Mountains

Funnee!!

You made me laugh on a dreary morning!!

Reminds me of the old Marx Bros. Joke:

Of all the Marx Brothers, I always thought Karl was the funniest!!
