In Massachusetts Superior Court a lawsuit has been filed by an atheist couple.
They claim their children "are being discriminated against because the Pledge of Allegiance."
The Pledge is said in school.. in the classroom.
The couple is upset about the phrase "under God."
According to The Christian Post..
"The daily recitation in public schools of a pledge declaring that the nation is 'under God' is discriminatory toward atheists and humanists," David Niose, president of the American Humanist Association and lead attorney for the plaintiffs in the case, stated.
We have a right to acknowledge God whether or not they want to. They don’t have to say it but they can’t stop us from saying it. Their “right” ends where my right begins. And I have the freedom to acknowledge my creator and I have free speech rights to state it.
Very well said!
I read that Madelin Murray O’Hare did that way back, or tried to, or was that for something else?

Atheists can go back into the closet. Along with their fellow humanists. I don't see why they have so much faith in humans, anyway. Another Light That Failed.
Aw jeez, here we go again.
“The daily recitation in public schools of a pledge declaring that the nation is ‘under God’ is discriminatory toward atheists and humanists,”
No it is not.
You are free to believe you are not going to hell. At least until your arrival that is.........
bump
Lordy, I get tired of these people. How many times can they get offended before they figure out that there is no Constitutional right to not be offended?
How about the argument they love to toss out when we object to their attempts to strip God from western civilization, “How does it affect you? If you don’t like it, just ignore it.” What? They’re hypocrites? Oh, never mind.
Yep. If at first they don’t succeed, they’ll try and try again until they win. Once they win, the issue is then final, and none of those ignorant Christians better bring it up.
Massachusetts. What a surprise...................../s
and your guard should go up, history has many lessons of what happens when people want us to believe like them.
personally, I think we should remove “with Liberty”
THey just keep hammering and hammering until cracks appear and then keep hammering for decades until finally the foundation of the nation collapses.
Which is why we should do the same - relentlessly. None of this mere "defending marriage" - we should be re-criminalizing sodomy and homosexual behavior in all its forms. We should be outlawing the perverse pornography and gutter language that permeates our culture. we should make divorce again a rare event by getting rid of the "no fault" fiasco and severely tightening the restrictions on its allowance.
Until we are willing to push back, not just hold what little ground we have remaining, we have lost.
Mad Madelyn sued NASA for the Apollo 8 crew’s reading from the Bible while circling the Moon in 1968. She claimed, among other things, that it was mixing government and religion. The crew read from a religious book while aboard government funded and provided transportation. That case failed. She’s is now dead and the crew of Apollo 8 are all still very much alive. That’s got to mean something.
