Just a young tad in the early 1960’s I barely remember him.
Giants kinda stunk from the mid 60’s and all through the 70’s until Parcells came along as coach. RIP AW.

Condolences to Alex Webster’s family and friends. (yes, I remember him as a sports-nut kid...even though my team was the Lions (when they were good))

Some childhood memories..

First, a triva qustion..who was the other member, along with Webster, of the Giants' "elephant backfield."

As a kid growing up in the Bx in the 50s, my best friend Andy's father was a very successful atty. Divorced, he lived in the Concourse Plaza Hotel,( back then a very swanky place) a few blocks from Yankee Stadium, ( where the Giants then played) and where the majority of the Giants lived during the football season. Andy and I were in temple together, and one weekend a month he would stay with his father at the hotel, and I'd often spend the weekend with him. I remember roaming the lobby and halls, and meeting many of the players...Huff, Robustelli, YA Tittle, Shoffner..I had all the autographs..wish I had kept them..of couse, I also rememebr trading a Micky Mantle baseball card when I was 7..
