God Sends Tebow to Rome (NY Jets)

Posted on 03/21/2012 10:08:41 AM PDT by OneVike

Breaking news that Tebow was traded to the New York jets, that is God's hand my friends God does not want his best voice to languish in Denver. It is almost like Paul going to Rome. Imagine the 24/7 media following tebow as he tells the world about Christ.

Rome would be Washington DC - and I did hear that the Skins were in the Tebow sweepstakes as well!

Major attack of stupidity on Elway’s part.

I don’t know if I’d characterize New York as ‘Rome’. Sodom & Gomorrah, perhaps...but not Rome.

If the Jets go to the Super Bowl this year, I will laugh harder than I have ever laughed...out of pure joy.

Bet anything he ends up starting. Sanchez is NY’s version of Kyle Orton.

The media will be demanding it.

Yes, Sanchez was not doing too well, and Ryan now has a QB that can fire up the offense like he wants. Tebow was built to be a QB for Buddies son. Maybe he will help temper Ryan’s language as he brings the love of Christ to the Big apple.

I wish Tebow very well - wish it weren’t NY Jets though...

Tebow (Jonah) to New York (Nineveh). Surprised he's not stopping at the Dolphins (whale) for three days before heading there.

Oh good one, but there was talk that he was possibly going to Miami.

However, unlike Jonah, Tebow has never stepped away from his calling.

that’s great...of course the Jets offensive line played like garbage last year and they had no running game- goes sort of hand in hand....

Sanchez, Manning, Rodgers would’ve all struggled behind the often ole’ blocking Sanchez was afforded last year...

“However, unlike Jonah, Tebow has never stepped away from his calling.”

Well his shipmates (team) dumped him overboard during the storm (Manning)!

I do hope/pray that Tebow can weather the brutal New York media and be successful on the field as well as off (positive witness).

I do not see Tebow ever falling away from his mission. Like all of us, his life is a gift from God, but how many can say that their doctor wanted their mother to abort them? She refused, and Tim is the result.

If it were not for his mothers devotion to God Tim would not exist today as a top NFL QB. Tim knows that God has a plan for him, I cannot see him faltering under the pressure that living in NY brings to so many.

I really wonder if NY is prepared for what is coming. Now while I am convinced he is ready, I will still keep him in my prayers. Plus, for those who are not already acquainted with the evil that is the NY media, next season they will get a goof look at it first hand. Mark my words, Satan will come after him like he has never came after an athlete in NY before, because Tim was supposed to be aborted. Let us all keep Tim in our prayers.

I agree with you 100%

I am originally from NY, and I cannot stand the Jets. It’s like the Jersey Shore of the NFL.

I understand teams trade and deal, but it seemed to me Elway did not like Tebow, and his popularity.

Manning, even if he wins a superbowl for Denver, is a Colt.

Everybody admires Payton Manning, and he is total class.

Elway is Mr. Bronco. I watched the press conference yesterday, and when they asked about Tebow, he was very vague. Come on, be honest. You are the GM. He didn’t even have the guts to say, yeah Tebow’s gone.

I wish Tebow the absolute best...and the absolute best does not include Rex Ryan and his thug life players.

Yes, big mistake for Tebow to the Jets. They will hurt him in more ways than one. I wish him the best, but the Jets are a mess.

I wonder if Jax’s new owner wasn’t a Muzzie, if Tebow would have wound up in Jacksonville?

i’ve attended every Jets home game since Nov 1981....254 consecutive regular/post season games- this team has beaten me into apathy but now i feel i really have someone to root for in Tebow....
