Commentary: Are We Prepared to Respond to Increased Attacks on Black Males?
bet.com ^ | March 23, 2012 | Michael Steele

My friend Jonathan Capehart, an editorial board member and opinion writer for The Washington Post, laid bare the “grisly” facts we are just now coming to terms with in the killing of Trayvon Martin:

“An overzealous neighborhood watch captain in an SUV armed with a 9-mm handgun. A 17-year-old boy armed with an iced tea and a bag of Skittles. We know from [George] Zimmerman’s 911 call that he thought [Trayvon] Martin was “a real suspicious guy” who “looks like he’s up to no good or he’s on drugs or something.”

And now we have some insight into Trayvon’s mindset at the time.

“He said this man was watching him, so he put his hoodie on. He said he lost the man,” said Trayvon’s girlfriend, who was talking with him on his cell phone during the start of the incident. In an exclusive ABC News report, she discussed the confrontation in answer to questions from the Martin family attorney. “I asked Trayvon to run, and he said he was going to walk fast. I told him to run but he said he was not going to run.” Eventually he would run, said the girl, thinking that he’d managed to escape. But suddenly the strange man was back, cornering Martin.”

“Trayvon said, ‘What, are you following me for,’ and the man said, ‘What are you doing here.’ Next thing I hear is somebody pushing, and somebody pushed Trayvon because the head set just fell. I called him again and he didn’t answer the phone.”

That’s because Trayvon was dead of a single gunshot wound to his chest.”

***

As the father of two sons, my heart sank at learning of the circumstances surrounding the death of Trayvon Martin.

The fact that a non-black, legally-armed guy did it is what makes this such a supposed outrage.

Not really...'it's the Drama'.. the media is playing up to get ratings for their network stations.

The media race baits everyone in how they frame their stories...and it may mean simply a short sound bite to get peopel tuned in.

This stuff happens daily throughout our country....the gangs do it all the time,...nothing new...just the media needs a good story to feed the masses with AND divert from covrage about Obamas record.

We hear about little kids being shot in drive-by’s everyday here..they will have prayer vigils for the child, but other then that, nothing. You don’t hear from ANY so-called black leaders, no outrage, basically its no big deal, as long as the child is murdered by another African American, then its cool. Zimmerman isn’t even white, he’s Hispanic, not like it makes a difference, we don’t know the whole story of what happened, I wasn’t there, of course I can speculate, that is what we all do, but the hypocrisy from the media is OUTRAGEOUS. They have the nerve to blame Republicans for what happened!! These bastards that prey on others when they are going through a tragic event is disgusting, absolutely disgusting, and karma will get them too

Nah...this is about media drama and Bambi's using it for political gain.

Sharpton's out there already playing referee, no doubt one of Obamas "thugs" and Farrachan doing his deal as always for the limelight. Jesse jackson no doubt will weigh in soon in one form another. All three make good money keeping the races at each other because it works on a dumbdowned public.

I live in the same area, and I’ve been asking this on Twitter all day. Needless to say...crickets. It’s a shame this boy died, but Sharpton and his ilk are just stirring the pot to distract from Obama’s dismal record and encourage more “Vic-tacrats” (as Larry Elder would say). Not to mention some slimballs are making money off merchandising this tragedy.

I don’t excuse any kind of violence upon one human from another that isn’t necessary for self defense. That said, black on white crime far exceeds the reverse, and we don’t get this kind of social uproar. We also don’t get threats of race wars. We don’t get demagoguery from our radical president. The left is going to milk this for all they can get out of it, most likely getting innocent people killed. It will be on all of the news programs, and we will get lectures about not committing more white on black crime, pretty much the same kind of idiocy we got when the abortion doctor was shot. Meanwhile, as white people start getting beaten and killed as a result of this, the only appeal we will get is for white people to understand that this is our fault, and we should not react, as if we would in the first place.

The far left are enjoying every second of this. They haven’t orgasmed this much since Gabby Giffords got shot(And from what I read on twitter that day, they were hoping that she died so that she would be a martyr for the left) Now they have this to use as a way of causing a race war, to distract from the issues, like the fact that Obama is a HUGE failure. Just wait til Obama does another one of those race speeches, that ought to be hysterical. Sharpton is a racist, just mention Tawana Bradley and watch him run like hell

I’m not worried about attacks on black males.
I’m worried about attacks BY black males, which are FAR more common.

Actually, what the “outrage” is all about is that it is an opportunity to attack concealed carry, castle doctrine, and stand your ground laws.

“Progressives” love violent criminals; they give these totalitarians reasons to tighten their control over citizens. Likewise, they hate it when citizens have the means to defend themselves.

Was the author prepared for increased attacks on whites by blacks? Obviously he couldn’t give a damn so why should I??

The ugly truth is that people tend to hold white people to a higher standard of behavior. The uglier truth is that many black people hold white people to a higher standard of behavior.

Talk about an ingrained culture of low expectations for blacks, folks.

Barack Obama has done more to divide this nation along racial lines than anything I can remember.

Not according to Major Garrett.

Read this and tell me there is not strong delusion going on here:

Obama’s Trayvon Moment: One for the History Books

His decision to wrap his arms around Martin's family and give voice to thousands who have taken up their cause may be a watershed moment in his presidency.

Obama has sought to avoid wading into distinctly racial issues, preferring not to reinforce any real or imagined stereotype of an African-American president governing or speaking specifically on behalf of African-American interests. This was true long before Obama became president. It was first displayed to the nation during Obama’s 2004 Democratic National Convention speech when he said, “There's not a black America and white America and Latino America and Asian America; there's the United States of America."

The whole article is delusional and I encourage you to read it. This is a big thing for the left.

This is written by Michael Steele, the RINO chairman of the RINO Party that pushed Romney to the top of the GOP presidential candidate list. Do I REALLY believe a word out of his RINO mouth??

No. He has proven to be a liar and a disaster for the RNC and is one of the main reasons that there is a Tea Party today.

They’re just setting up 8 months of constant barrage of racism so they can guilt the max number of idiot libs/progressives into voting for the empty suit again. He has no positive accomplishments so they have to play the race card to the max.

“Every image of Trayvon shows he was better off when Bush was President.”

Good one.

I almost hurled yesterday when I heard Shepard Smith call him a “little boy”.

Thanks, Mechanicos.

Give it a few days and one of his schoolmates will come out with why he was suspended.

Predicting the reason for the school’s disiplinary actions at this point would be premature. I wouldn’t be shocked to find out it was fighting or racial in nature, or both. We’ll see.

Wonder if he still wants “to cut 0bamas balls off”?
