My strange problems continue, but just on my Windows 7, IE9 computer. I have considerable difficulty bringing up FreeRepublic, but once I get a page open I have little difficulty clicking to articles or posting. And I have no obvious problems with other sites.

Just logged back in - took 36 seconds from click to display.
Then hit the link for this post, and it took 14 seconds to display; another 12 seconds to bring up the Reply window.
Been all over the web earlier, with no noticeable slow waits like this site, but I get better news here than anywhere else so I’ll live with it. :^)

About the same here, and we're both in PA :-\
I have relatively fast cable, and other sites are as quick as usual.
Traceroute makes it look like the problem is in/out of Chicago .. surely not surprising ! Would love to have a ton of $$ to buy John/us a new server farm and a huge pipe.
