Well said. We need to get anyone but Romney in as the Republican candidate, and vote that person in.

So long as we keep playing the Establishment’s game, we will lose.

there *is* a possibility that he would govern more conservatively than he did in Massachussetts -——

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA

There *is* a possiblity that Obama’s birth certificate is a forgery.

There *is* a possiblity that Obama’s a Christian,no wait, if ‘you shall know them by their deeds’, that’s not a possibility.

Mitt Romney will NEVER occupy the Oval Office. Therefore, any primary challenge to him in 2016 will be as one candidate against another - neither being an incumbent.

I agree on both counts. Frankly I would plan to primary him regardless, to keep his squish feet to the fire. But America will not survive another Obama term, 2-3 more leftist Justices, etc.

"We were told if we just held our noses and voted for McCain then next time the GOP would run a real conservative candidate. Look where that got us."

Yeah, and what happened was, people didn't hold their noses and we got Bobo. And now Mittens.

We do you contend we need to support him? Just to give the Left an opportunity to denigrate conservatives again. Bush 41 and 43 and Dole and McCain did more damage to the cause than Obama ever did. Obama has contributed to a resurgence of conservatives in the country. Alcoholics only begin to recover when they get to their bottom. This country obviously needs to go further down before it can begin to kick to habit. Four more years of Obama just might do that. Four years of Romney would do nothing but cloud the issues once again, in my humble opinion. I voted for Obama in 2008 and if Romney is the nominee, I will do so again. When asked in 2008 why I voted for O, I predicted a strong reaction against his policies driving the country away from socialist policies.

If the GOP doesn’t want to listen to my voice, they’re not getting my vote.

You're not loud enough, look at the votes. They aren't going your way. They're not going my way. It's sad, but reality.

I don't think the solution in the fall is to get into a snit and "let Obama win," he'll probably win anyway because of the "historical nature" of his presidency. Every effort should be made by conservatives, libertarians, teapartiers and the rest opposed to his radicalism and failed policies to make his reelection as difficult as possible.

I'm happy (relieved?) to be in a state where it won't matter how I vote because if my vote determines how my state goes, it's a landslide election.

"We already have a record of how Romney governs. Why would he be different as President.

If I may seriously answer this question, he might govern differently as president because a) America is not Massachussetts and b) he might have one or both congressional houses in Republican hands instead of Democrat hands.

I'm not under any illusion that Romney would be far less conservative than I would like but there *is* a possibility that he would govern more conservatively than he did in Massachussetts because he has a different constituency and a different congress."

Keywords here are 'might govern differently'. Our country is at stake. Why would we gamble on the idea that a RINO 'might' decide not to be one? Talk is cheap & he is now talking like a Conservative and blowing a ton of money trying to be President. Obama talked a good game too & he got elected. This looks like an Obama clone to me & I'm not buying it.

I can't do it... maybe come November I might feel differently, but right now I can't see myself voting in 2012 if Romney is our candidate. It comes down to this... everyday I blame “the stupid voters” for the mess we are in... I don't intend to become what I loathe. I am an ABO AND and an ABR, to vote for either would also make me a hypocrite. I'll say one thing, if I do vote in such a scenario, it will be the first time I've ever voted with a total sense of dread!

I don't vote for Socialist liars. FReepers don't let other FReepers vote to slit their own throats.
