Is the hysteria we are seeing, similar to the Salem Witch Trials?
Growing up, I wondered about how adults could be the way they were, in the story "The Emperors New Clothes":

As an adult, I am shocked how easily, the behavior which confused me as a child, is fomented now, 2012, right here in America, in adults.
And now, I understand it's still possible ... for equally irrational behavior to happen exactly as in those seemingly fictional people in those long ago stories. Right here in America. In the 21st century.
History repeats.
Even now.

Yes, the same sort of hysteria that drove the Salem witch hunts is driving the hunt for George Zimmerman. If Martin had killed Zimmerman we would not be having this conversation. If they had not posted false photos we would not be having this conversation.

I just knew he was a witch when I first saw him!! He just had that look about him. The way his shirt collar was fixed, and his nose seemed to favor to the right.

Part of the hysteria is they see no facts to the contrary.
I watched the video of what seemed like about a hundred kids from the local high school run into that Walgreens as a mob and ransack the place.
And no one commented that gee, maybe if these kids could do that, it wasn’t so outrageous for Zimmerman to worry that Trayvon Martin was up to no good.
Or that Trayvon had womens’ jewelry and a burglary tool, and pot residue, and engaged in gangsta talk, gold teeth, talk of “jumping” a bus driver...
Yet again, no one says gee maybe Zimmerman was not so crazy to suspect this guy.
Nah, more like a Duke Lacrosse player or a Tawana Brawley ‘rapist’.

I’ve had to explain my screen name very once in a while.
At the time I stopped lurking at this (fabulous) site, Bush was president.
The MSM as exemplified by CNN itself was CONSTANTLY screaming at the top of their lungs, from rooftops, that the sky was falling and Bush was single handedly responsible for the end of the world as we knew it.
(back when unemployment was 5%)
There was a constant, frenetic deluge of crisis and horror from the very same “journalists” now busy, polishing Obama’s boots around the clock.
That’s where it came from.
So now that unemployment is 25% and Obama has his boots polished we all know it wasn’t bush that killed the world, it was your follow man. Wright? Right? Write? RITE?
This is a trick question, isn’t it?
