Korea's Got talent homeless kid (from 5 YO) leaves everyone in tears

It is a little old but the story is timeless. This kid was on his own since he was 5 years old! God granted him a huge voice and, well, see for yourself.

I really, really, really hope this is true. Not that I want any kid to go through what this kid describes, but that my tendency toward kindness not be beaten back into cynicism (I did the best checking I could and did not see anything to gainsay his story).

Apparently he finished 2nd but his yt page has 39 million "likes" -- 39 million and 1 if you add mine.

The story is mostly true but the young man did get some professional training.

The Story of and Voice of Sung Bung Choi

He did attend Daejun Arts High Shcool and received some professional training but as you can imagine, for a homeless kid with nowhere to live, perfect attendance would have been impossible.

I think that makes it even more amazing. This is a kid who saw music — real music, not that nonsense cRap — as an escape, not necessarily a ticket out of the street..

But it looks like it was that ticket after all.

I hope he succeeds beyond his wildest dreams.
