Brazil actor playing Judas dies from accidental hanging

A Brazilian actor has died after accidentally hanging himself while playing Judas in an Easter Passion play.

Tiago Klimeck, 27, was enacting the suicide of Judas during the performance on Good Friday in the city of Itarare.

The actor was hanging for four minutes before fellow performers realised something was wrong.

Klimeck was taken to hospital suffering from cerebral hypoxia but died on Sunday.

The Passion play was being performed in Itarare, 345km (214 miles) west of Sao Paulo.

Klimeck was re-enacting the scene in which Judas commits suicide in repentance for his betrayal of Jesus Christ.

Police are investigating the apparatus that was meant to support Klimeck. It appears the knot may have been erroneously tied.

I guess now in addition to “Snuff Films”, Brazil produces, “Snuff Plays.”

Waiting for the right time to stage a come back Tour...

What'd be hilarious is if they staged the Ragnarok tour for the same year...

I’m sure that Loki and Judas would have a lot to talk about.

Judas: Yeah... I just used hemp. It was cheaper than the silk stuff. What kind is it that you have?

Loki: Intestines... Long story...

Tragic. His death came in trying to glorify Jesus.

There are two places called "Itarare" (Ee-tar-rar-ray). One is the location above, the other is in Santos near Praia Grande in the state of Sao Paulo. In February during Carnaval the clouds/mists roll over the mountains right into the ocean. It looks like a magical wonderland. It's beauty is hard to describe. I have better photos than this I could share. Maybe some day.

At the top of Ilha Porchat below is a brewery at a place called "TerracoChopp"

Fun place to go after you've crossed through the favelas and over the mountain to the hidden surfing beach at Itaquitanduva.

Paraiso...Graca a Deus...

Here is a far more amazing video of the area I am talking about and the miracle of it's beauty. You can even see the hidden surfing beach at 3:00 in. On the other side of the mountain was a favela we actually have to pass through to get there. We had a drink in the bar. They had a fridge which was really great for that part of the area.

Ilha Porchat is visible at 4:15 in. Terraco Chopp is on top.

7:00 in you see an endless beach. God must have been in a really, really good mood when he created that place.
