I watched the interview on NBC this morning with the parents and the child.

They handled it the way I would have. They also said they felt sorry for the couple that got the ball and wished this would all go away. It was much to do about nothing.

Good Job Parents. Sheesh atleast they didn’t want the President to get the kid a ball and a new house and a new bicycle etc.

Again I liked the way the parents of the kid dealt with it and their comments on the other couple. GOOD JOB.

“I’m torn on this.”

Me too. On the one hand, if the child catches the ball he/she would probably be a fan of that team for life! On the other hand, I’ve been working hard for 40 years to catch a ball, so why should I not reap the reward of the years of effort!

;-)

I liken it to catch and release when fishing....the thrill comes from catching the ball, not necessarily in keeping it.

I didn’t think I needed a sarcasm tag.

I thought your comment was silly.

3 year olds don’t understand much. Hardly a reason to keep them behind closed doors.

I wouldn’t have thought my first two posts needed a /sarc, either. Thanks for playing.

My third child was born when #2 was 10 years old. He was by far the easiest to raise because whenever he had a tantrum I would look at him and say “Been there, done that. It doesn’t work anymore.”

I know 30 year olds who act this way. Because they didn’t get their butts spanked and “explained” to them that just because they want it doesn’t mean they can get it given to them.

As for my secret, I don’t hang around 3 year olds.

I don’t “clam” to be anything. I used to hang around 3 year old kids. When I was young enough to have 3 year old kids. But expert? Nah. Only Dr. Spock and the idiots who listened to him are experts. Never mind that he never had any himself.

It does appear that you’re an expert at raising kids who think the world owes them anything they want. Might just raise yourself some liberals. But, how would I know. You’re the one who “clams” to be an expert. So, clam up.

Good one, crawdad, and no sarc tag here.
