Administration: The stadium at Ohio State was full

(Washington, D.C., 5/6/12) Responding to unconfirmed reports President Obama kicked off his re-election campaign in a half-empty stadium at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, response to the photograph has been swift. Ohio will play an important part in the election of 2012 as it's considered a swing state.

According to our sources, a spokesman for the campaign called the allegations of a half-empty stadium “ludicrous”. His statement, made on condition of anonymity, follows:

“Attempts to paint this kickoff re-election effort as a failure fall far short of reality. Had the photographer taken his picture 3 hours later, the world would have seen the arena was filled to over-flowing with enthusiastic, adamant fans of Obama. To suggest otherwise is ludicrous.”

“Take any photo of an NFL stadium 3 hours before kickoff and you'd assume no one cared. Such is the case here. Fans were overflowing outside the stadium but adequate security measures prevented everyone from being there at the time this photo was taken. Our dear, dear leader deserves better than this blatant racism being displayed and the right-wing ought to be ashamed of itself for choreographing this charade.”

So show us the pic ( not photoshopped) of the full stadium and we will drop the subject and go to the next one of hundreds.

In the ‘not full’ picture, everyone is looking in the same direction. They aren’t acting like an audience with three hours to kill although they are acting like they were paid to be there.
And, I hope that Rapid Response Romney sends out a photo of himself and Mrs. Romney in a similar pose, you know, for contrast.

Haven’t seen any pictures from the appearances in Virginia this last week. This http://www.zimbio.com/pictures/Ti0zVOG_b2v/Romney+Receives+Michelle+Bachmann+Endorsement/-jcyZ74UY6y/Mitt shows some of what is going on. But did McDonnell goose that woman?

Right now at this stage of the campaign you're probably not going to see big mobs of people for any of these people.

I"m surprised the photog managed to find a dock full of yachts and richguys for one of those McDonnell/Romney shots ~ I also think the photog has a political tin ear ~ if the guy wants to get elected when he doesn't even have the base of his party behind him he cannot be helped by stills of him and a bunch of guys with yachts!

Yeegads ~ ~~~~~~~~~!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Strangely enough, twelve years later when asked about that day, not one of the participants could remember being there.

“Our leader? I thought he was our president.”

I believe for a while Michelle was making comments about how her partner would make a great “ruler,” until one of her handlers took her aside and gave her a short lesson on US civics and the aversion of Americans to kings and such.
It may have been something like Truman calling fertilizer “manure” at an Independence, MO flower club meeting: Someone complained to Bess and she said, “It took me years to get him to say manure.
Mookie was either just saying what she was thinking, or maybe she thought “ruler” sounded better than what she was really thinking.

First, the event was at Value City Arena, which is a basketball venue, not Ohio Stadium, where they play football. The local papers reported attendance at 14,000. Seating capacity for the arena is 20,000.

Further - an arena that was less than half-full. Notice that not only was the upper deck completely empty, but where are the photos that show BEHIND the President? I have strong suspicions that only half of the lower level was full... which would imply that the arena was far less than 50% filled.

No, "ruler" really is how they see it. It is part of their defective thought process of what the governing of this Republic actually is.

Valerie Jarret told Brokaw that "given the daunting challenges that we face, it's important that president elect Obama is prepared to really take power and begin to rule day one."

The sad truth - Racial guilt will be back in force when November rolls around. Add to that fact, many conservatives just cannot get enthusiastic about voting for Mitt Romney (who admits he is a “Republican” out of convenience.

Anyone who has ever worked on large campaigns knows that the ‘kickoff’ is a special important event.

Political mavens spend hours determining exactly the location where the most impact on desired demographic groups and swing voters will be found. You know that they thought an Ohio arena would be perfect.

Once a site is determined, the advance men spend weeks and months setting up the event and making sure that their ‘base’ is revved up and there to cheer with enthusiasm.

Think about the Obama 08 campaign and the crowds he drew. It may be telling that they picked a medium sized arena instead of a open air facility like a one for a rock concert.

This turnout, seen with the entire upper deck emptied down to the lower areas to fill in the vacant areas had to be disappointing. It the type of thing advance men get fired for.

I am guessing 5,000 or less. There would be no one seated in stands behind the kenyan I would bet. The upper deck is completely empty and it looks like it holds quite a few seats. Come to think of it, 5,000 might be to high of an estimation.
