It’s safer than stealing copper from live electrical equipment.

I got plenty of elm bark (roof, rooof) from Dutch elm diseased trees that I've cut down.

How do I cash in?

The reason it is probably worth so much is because the elm trees got hit with dutch elm tree disease and many died. So now the survivors can be killed off for their bark?

Sounds like a buffalo hide hunt. Yeah, I love trees and shade. I’ve cried over the death of some of my favorite local trees (I am a visual person and I think they are beautiful). Seeing the Sequoias is on my bucket list. Where did I put that thing?

That headline made me laugh. At $3 a pound I just might have to find some elms around here.

I ate bark off a tree when I was real young. I have often wondered what kind of tree it was and why I ate the bark. As I remember, it was light in color, chewy with a sap. It wasn’t particular outstanding but I liked it. Don’t remember if it did any damage bathroom wise.

Of course, those trees will now die.

I understand that human skin is worth even more (for burn victims); harvesting some of this would seem to be a good punishment for the perps.

Looks like they got caught barking off the wrong tree.

Now they’re in the dog-house.

Singing, “Move on Over”, a new dog’s moving in.

“They” as in thieves, will steal anything and everything.

Just shoot all thieves on sight.

It costs far less than putting them through the criminal justice system, where criminals have rights, but their victims have none.

My English teacher would have marked 'repetitious' in red ink.

"ridgerunners" is for West (by G-d) Virginians.

For Kentuckians its "briarhoppers."
