Failed federal policies implemented by unelected agencies such as the U.S. Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management during the past 30 to 40 years remind me of a quote from the late economist Milton Friedman: One of the great mistakes is to judge policies and programs by their intentions rather than their results.
The Northwest Forest Plan enacted by President Clinton in 1994 may have had good intentions, but it has failed catastrophically.

There’s a 22,000 acre forest fire burning in Michigan’s UP right now. Mostly on state forest land I believe.

You apply that to all of government and you’d put them completely out of business.
What results.
That reminds me, I need to go to Wal-Mart and buy charcoal for a grill I don’t own yet.
This is a story that falls into the category of Agenda 21’s goal of elimination of the rural lifestyle, as well the engineered scarcity of wood for construction raising costs beyond affordability.
