Ben Franklin when asked what type of government was created when the Constitution was written answered, A Republic, if you can keep it. Looks like thanks to the utter collapse of our educational system and just how out culture has changed are so willing to give up their freedoms in the name of fighting a so-called "wars" or stop "epidemics" where the so-called disease is not even communicable.
Exhibit A: Peter King of SI wrote this in his weekly column,
m. The mayor of New York, Michael Bloomberg, is under attack because he wants to eliminate the ability of fast food places to sell super-sized sugary drinks. Under attack is putting it nicely. The papers are killing him. I think Bloomberg's doing the right thing. You can't fight the obesity epidemic in this country by suggesting mild solutions. You've got to fight it. And Bloomberg's trying. Good for him. And if people don't like it, then tax soda. Tax the daylights out of it, the way we tax cigarettes."

My wife parroted the same line when I asked her.
We have created an aristocracy governing class with our career politicians and Obama can’t wait to become monarch.
The Founding Fathers, including Ben Franklin, would be appalled at what has happened to their carefully-designed limited government. The ideas that their Constitution could be interpreted by anyone as permitting ObamaCare, that not only would there be a federal income tax but that it would be designed to redistribute wealth, and that an anti-American communist could be elected through a combination of fraud and parasitic voter support would shock them.

Uhh.. a Kaliphate?
Not surprising. A lot of folks(especially, though not necessarily always, females) tend to think government bans of something that may genuinely be bad(smoking, high calorie-soda, junk food, etc.) is a good thing without realizing the liberty they’re giving up to do so. I was at a Wendy’s once with my parents where they were selling the Baconator Triple Burger. My mother(who I love and is a wonderful lady) exclaimed “that ought to be illegal!” without taking into consideration what an attack on liberty and freedom an act like that would be.

Things didn’t end well for those traitors around that flag.
Now we are all slaves.
