Being reported as an injury per trainer.

I was really looking forward to the race. This is just awful.

Hope the horse is only mildly under the weather and it isn’t something serious.

Looks like the horse will now go to the breeding stage based on comments of the trainer.

Going to breed more delicate horses.

Then will it be double U? Unstoppable U and Union Rags?

I’m so sad about this. I was just re-watching his preakness win the other night, getting so excited for Saturday.

Bummer.

I’ve been following it too. This was a World Series, Super Bowl, Stanley Cup moment IMO. I’m quite sad to see this turn into an injury moment.

I’m not a big race fan, but this is a special feat and I was very hopeful the horse could pull it off.

Yes, bummer to the “x”.

Better that, than a Ruffian or Barbaro moment.

Would have to agree, looking at Paynter though. Baffert likes him, and thinks that he is a better horse than Bodemeister. Good breeding

I will say though that I don’t like to see the horse denied it’s chance at a history making moment.

I wouldn’t run it injured. No way! This is still tragic from the standpoint of what could have been for this horse related to a history making moment.
