Darn. Not a horse fan, but I always like seeing history.

Fox News’s website says the same thing.

Last horse I bet on was SO good.....it took 10 other horses to best him.

He’s injured and will most likely never race again.

I’m not a betting man, but I’m curious....what happens to the bets on this horse now? Do they lose or just get canceled?

Injury is a legitimate, straightforward reason of course but when you consider the cloud of rumors and investigations already surrounding the trainer you have to wonder.

And if it was an injury wouldn’t it already be reported as such?

Horse racing, like boxing, needed a good story rather than another black eye. But horse racing, to paraphrase the late Bert Sugar’s comment about boxing, ran out of black eyes long ago.

The problem with the Belmont’s 1.5 mile length is that many owners don’t want to risk stud contracts if their horse should break down in the final leg of the Triple Crown.

After what happened to Ruffian all of those years ago, I could never really get into horse racing after that.

Time to change the horse’s name to “Oh no you won’t!”

Ok, now that's funny...but seriously, hopefully he'll be ok.

Injury or too many milkshakes?

Very suspicious.

Such sad news. I do hope he’ll be OK. It’s been a fantastic experience watching him come from behind in Kentucky and Preakness. O’Neill has my respect for what must have been a gut-wrenching decision. :(
