GO NORTH DAKOTA!!!
Executive order on the way.
Ping.
If Alaska had ANWR, they’d be running away with it.
Congrats to North Dakota! As an Alaskan, I am disgraced.
It’s booming. Send your recent college graduates that can’t find jobs there. I here they hire and pay alot for dump truck drivers to everything! Have a nephew headed that way.
hear-sorry too much wine!
They are short around 20,000 houses. People are living in their cars or commuting 100 miles and more to work. High wages make it worthwhile.

My brother is living in the Williston area. He is in charge of some large projects there. He and my other brother have bought an older, unused mobile home park. The area officials go out of their way to pave the way for new construction. The oil companies will bring in new units built for the North Dakota weather, set them up, then pay over $150 A DAY for one guy in a two man unit. Do the math.
Also, a couple of guys could make some real good money buying RV’s from distressed areas, such as here in Michigan, drive them out there, and make a pretty good profit.
Consider that the Bakken boom actually started in Montana in 2000 (Elm Coulee Field), and had only spread over into the deeper parts of the Williston Basin in North Dakota by 2005/2006, the ‘10 years from now canard’ has been proven to be false.
Lots of Katrina mobile homes sitting vacant somewhere...
Why wouldn’t Clayton Homes be all over this? They are the ones that sent a gazillion trailers to N.O. after Katrina.
The biggest reason that you can’t send NO homes to ND is
drastic difference of weather proofing. ND can be -60 with wind chill, where NO homes are probably insulated to a what?, R-15 value?
BTW, I’ve met Jim Clayton and he is a great guy.
BTW,BTW, there are specialty companies out of Wyoming who can build to spec. Once again, there is a lack of infrastructure in ND.
Yep, after the 2008 June floods in Iowa, some of the FEMA trailers came up here for the flood victims to use, and those that were still in them by winter had problems. Though the insulation was bad, they were small enough and the furnace had enough power to stay warm inside, it costed a bit. But the plumbing was run underneath, and not being an insulated and heated space the water pipes under the trailer would freeze. I think some were modified to avoid that, but it was even more work. They are terribly crappy to begin with.
Next winter might be more normal (for here).
One of our First Muslim Presideny’s prime directives is to minimize US oil production.
His Muslim handlers will not be pleased with this news.
My partner and I are getting a contract to build 84 modular log homes up there that will house 2 people each the first of July. Your brother should call us.
