Well, hopefully he’s “getting along” now.

Say what you like but his “Can't we all get along” press conference was important for stopping the Rodney King riots.

He was dressed up like a schoolboy and the words were probably put in his mouth by his lawyer, but I still respect him for doing it.

...dead at the bottom of a pool...

Well at least he was not into venture capital or private equity.

Bottom of a pool wrapped in chains hooked to cement blocks.

Worst case of suicide I ever saw.

Watched Rodney on Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew. He was the only one I was rooting for. Sober on the show, he was a gentle, humble man but it seemed he could never get his drinking under control in his personal life.

RIP Rodney, sincerely.

IMHO, he was a pawn in the control of the race hustlers. He was used and thrown away when no longer useful. I suspect the whole mess hindered his attempts to overcome his addictions. May he rest in peace now.

I had the impression that he’d been a problem drinker since a teenager. He just couldn’t control it.

Like others have said- he was used and thrown away. It wasn’t his fault his altercation with the police was used as the excuse for widespread killing and burning and looting. RIP, Mr. King.
