July 8, 1942:
- "Seven thousand Lvov, Ukraine, Jews are murdered at the Janówska, Ukraine, labor/extermination camp.
- "Jewish partisan Vitka Kempner and two others leave the Jewish ghetto at Vilna, Lithuania, carrying a land mine with which they hope to disable a German military train located five miles southeast; See July 9, 1942.

"Men from all over Occupied Europe volunteered to serve in national regiments fighting on the side of the Germans.
These Danish troops volunteered for a variety of reasons.
Some hoped that service alongside the Germans would be an advantage after what they considered an inevitable German victory.
Others fervently supported National Socialist ideology; they were attracted by the Nazis' glorification of the "Aryan race" and/or supported the Germans' antisemitic policies.
Such motives were cleverly played upon by ideologically seductive recruitment posters and other Nazi propaganda devices that were common in occupied nations."

Now we try to accept and understand those who try to kill and conquer us (cough - muslims).

"Any notice how the American government ruthlessly went after the German Bund Party on page one?" If President Roosevelt had been even half as ruthless in hunting down Soviet Communists as he was with National Socialists, the Cold War might have developed quite differently.
But FDR just didn't see Communists as a threat, and besides, he kind of liked "Uncle Joe" Stalin.

- Rear Admiral Robert L. Ghormley and General Douglas MacArthur send a joint message to Washington calling attention to the lack of sufficient planes, ships, supplies, and port facilities to conduct operation WATCHTOWER. The Joint Chiefs ordered MacArthur and Ghormley to get the task completed but did allow them to delay D-Day to August 7th.
