WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama is launching a push to extend tax cuts for the middle class, as he seeks to shift the election-year economic debate from the dismal jobs market to assertions that Republican rival Mitt Romney protects the rich. Obama, in an address from the White House later Monday, will call on Congress to pass a one-year extension of tax cuts for households making less than $250,000 a year, said senior campaign adviser Robert Gibbs. The president's appeal to middle-class voters is aimed at drawing a contrast with Romney and congressional Republicans. The House GOP is expected to make its own push this month for an extension of all the Bush-era tax cuts due to expire at the end of the year, including reductions on wealthier income earners. Obama opposes extending the tax cuts for Americans with higher incomes, while Romney has said he supports extending the expiring cuts for all income earners.

I read about Obama claiming that he is advocating an extension of tax cut for anyone making less than $250,000/ year.
The fact is that he is still advocating a huge increase in the capital gains tax, inheritance taxes and other taxes for anyone making more than $250,000. Obama is trying to run on a tax cut that is really a tax increase.
If Romney doesn’t get back on the campaign circuit and start hitting back on some the Obama lies, I think we might end up with some convention problems for Romney. People are really getting fed up.

Meanwhile, the ever helpful media has been trumpeting this “news” since 6AM today locally. Just another page from the Romney is for the rich and I am for the under dogs (albeit I eat dogs) approach by the clown prince.
This should really help the unemployment numbers heading into the election as small business people cut back employees to handle the cost of their new taxes. Who advises this guy?
So how is it that someone who makes $250,000 a year is a rich/millionaire/billionaire/corporate jet (those five words do go together don’t they?)?

This is why the economy is still stagnent. No business person will invest in creating jobs when they keep pushing the hockey puck away from the goal. We need to get this CON MAN out of our White House.
