The Population Control Holocaust
The New Atlantis ^ | Spring 2012 | Robert Zubrin

Posted on 07/20/2012 7:41:00 PM PDT by Sir Napsalot

There is a single ideological current running through a seemingly disparate collection of noxious modern political and scientific movements, ranging from militarism, imperialism, racism, xenophobia, and radical environmentalism, to socialism, Nazism, and totalitarian communism. This is the ideology of antihumanism: the belief that the human race is a horde of vermin whose unconstrained aspirations and appetites endanger the natural order, and that tyrannical measures are necessary to constrain humanity. The founding prophet of modern antihumanism is Thomas Malthus (1766-1834), who offered a pseudoscientific basis for the idea that human reproduction always outruns available resources. Following this pessimistic and inaccurate assessment of the capacity of human ingenuity to develop new resources, Malthus advocated oppressive policies that led to the starvation of millions in India and Ireland.

While Malthus’s argument that human population growth invariably leads to famine and poverty is plainly at odds with the historical evidence, which shows global living standards rising with population growth, it nonetheless persisted and even gained strength among intellectuals and political leaders in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. Its most pernicious manifestation in recent decades has been the doctrine of population control, famously advocated by ecologist Paul Ehrlich, whose bestselling 1968 antihumanist tract The Population Bomb has served as the bible of neo-Malthusianism. In this book, Ehrlich warned of overpopulation and advocated that the American government adopt stringent population control measures, both domestically and for the Third World countries that received American foreign aid. (Ehrlich, it should be noted, is the mentor of and frequent collaborator with John Holdren, President Obama’s science advisor.)

There are FReepers among us who buy into “overpopulation” garbage. Their minds need to be made right.

Their minds need to be made right.

Ummm, that sound a little ominous, sort've like Soviet "reeducation centers."

I haven't read any (to my knowledge) who buys into the overpopulation theory.

But I am on the UN Agenda 21 ping list, which I think is part of the parcel. Plenty of people on that ping list, and we are aware of this global population control scheme.

For the moment, I forgot who I should alert this article to. Would appreciate it if anyone remembers who heads the Agenda 21 ping list.

Population control is applicable to transportation sciences looking at traffic and traffic slowdowns/jams.

Also, what we are seeing is the application of “carrying capacity” to human populations, development and land ‘use.’

I used to think that various theories drove people to do monstrous things (Marxism, communism, populationism, environmentalism). But I don’t believe that anymore. I agree with this article - the basis IS anti-humanism. But I believe there is a root to THAT, too, which is: parasitism.

Basically, you can live what has been historically, spiritually, religiously and morally considered to be a “good” life - or not. If you do, then despite the difficulties, you find that there is a deep satisfaction and energy that comes from that effort. That in ways to numerous to count, you receive more energy, more life, more good, more light, more love, more peace, than you put in.

But if you don’t pursue good, you don’t receive that spiritual nourishment - yet, you’re still hungry. So, you become a parasite. In a million ways, you become a parasite. And so you can, as a parasite, take the nobleist theories and turn them into depravity.

Whereas if you purse good, you can take the most depraved filth, and bring love and peace and good into it.

That’s why Franklin famously said: “a Republic, madam, if you can keep it.” Because even freedom itself will be sold for a pittance by a parasite - and just look around you. Oh, they have genuinely perfected the neurolinguistic positive spin of self-destruction, but things are so base, so obviously perverted now, that even liberals wince when they invoke their excuses to kill freedom and peace and safety and common sense and love and compassion and mercy and goodness - all in the very names of those things themselves.

For they won’t change. They are parasites. Spiritual parasites, and thus, their souls look like bugs - literally. For that is what they have become, of their own free will.

Bugs.

Rather like my right to my property is enforced by law, and if you chose to violate the law, by force.

It is up to you if you chose to have force used against you.

I like it. The double mirror. Looking yourself in the eye while talking to the back of your head.

It’s touchy feel E time.

My dad showed me a pic when I was a little boy of his farmer friend thigh high in ripening wheat. He asked me what I saw. I said a man outstanding in his field, dad. He was all smiles and told me never to forget that.

To be fair, the historical evidence available to Malthus mostly supported his argument.

The contrary evidence mostly came along after him. It's a little unfair to expect him to have foreseen the effects of the industrial and technological revolutions.
