A south Lincoln neighborhood is shocked and sickened after a gruesome assault.
Lincoln Police responded to the 1000 block of South 22nd Street just after 4:00 Sunday morning.
Officers say their preliminary investigation is focusing on a home invasion, assault, and attempted arson.
LPD is calling it a hate crime.
LPD said two men went into the home, assaulted the woman and then started the house on fire.
Police said the suspects wrote words on the wall that are derogatory to sexual orientation.
A neighbor who wished to remain anonymous told 10/11, "My neighbor was standing there and she had no clothes on her hand had been tied with zip ties and the first thing I saw was the blood running down her face."

I know what to do here.
"Tawana Brawley, Please pick up the white courtesy phone for a message. Tawana Brawley".
A set up? Willing to wait for them to find the perps but gut says BS self inflicted and a lie.
Anyone else recalling the homo library urine dripper case?
Self inflicted there.
This gives me the same “Yeah, right” reaction.
Put me down for an order of homo-hysteria served up with a side of bull cookies. Oh, and a pitcher of transparent claptrap. Thanks!
