The Collings Foundation's Wings of Freedom Tour is going to arrive at Morristown, NJ on Aug.22nd for a three day show and display. They offer close up tour of their aircraft....and flights *grins* My understanding, "rides" ARE available in all three aircraft..B-17G Flying Fortress,"Nine O Nine"...B-24J Liberator,"Witchcraft"....TP-51C,"Betty Jane" a training model....Schedules AT THE SITE. Do you have $2200 that you happen to find in an old jacket pocket? *smiles* If so, you get "instructions" and flight time in the TP-51C (around half hour) and YOU fly during your trip.

Thanks to FReep "Chode" I was reminded of the organization yesterday when he mentioned he had a B-24 fly over his place yesterday (NY)...and I started to dig deeper and found the scheduling...two more shows in NJ, Belmar and Cape May, later this month...the schedule includes other states near you...

They did a great job restoring a F-4D they labeled (AF 637-680) in honor Of Gen Robin Olds he flew with the 479th which I'm familiar with personally *smiles*... NOW:

one of my best friends got his F4 back seat license at Buford when ho got home from Nam... even got a little stick time in the process
long as the pilots were flying and the backseat was empty, he could tag along

I really didn’t like them when I got over there....listen to them 24 hrs a day...364 days....every 10 mins a group would leave...sometimes coming back empty in 20 minutes..but turn around was short....
Now I miss em....had that YT clip cranked up...LOL
