Should Mitt Romney’s tax returns be a campaign issue?

Yes. As a presidential candidate, Romney is obligated to be more transparent

No. I don’t care if he releases his returns, and I don’t care how much he’s paid in taxes

Only if Dems have hard proof that his tax bills were inordinately low

I could care less how much Mitt made, paid or gave away - what I DO care about, is what Obama’s government is doing with MY money!

The Romney campaign should now demand Obama’s Transcripts and Travel Passport information.

Not just “no” but “Hell No!” I’m so tired of the diversionary tactics! We need some serious talk about the issues — Jobs and Medicare!

“I could care less how much Mitt made, paid or gave away - what I DO care about, is what Obama’s government is doing with MY money!”

Romney has built one of the most successful businesses in the country and worked hard. Obama has loafed and spent others money. I think their past is relevant to how they will treat us. Both pasts.

50% of Americans pay ZERO, ZIP, NADA in Fed income taxes. I CARE MUCH MORE ABOUT THE UNFAIRNESS OF THE CURRENT TAX SITUATION THAN I COULD EVER CARE ABOUT ROMNEY'S INDIVIDUAL TAX RETURNS.

Zero and his RAT party are in the midst of destroying America with their class warfare - wake up and smell the coffee.

Well, you got the right tax in mind ~ the FEDERAL PERSONAL INCOME TAX. Ronald Reagan started the process to take us back to the original Republican promise that this one would affect ONLY 1 or 2% of the highest income wage earners.

It was not sold to the people as a general purpose tax.

So, you want to engage in class warfare or something by raising the federal personal income tax on lower income people?

Go to it ~ waste your time.

BTW it's 53% paying and 47% not paying ~ so be sure to research this before you toss it at someone again.

Like I've said before it's a crying shame that we have 53% paying that tax because that's 51% TOO MANY and only filthy fascist pigs imagine it should be spread to everyone.

Hahaha you sound like my husband he always says I do not listen to what he is saying so maybe I misunderstood you—
However I really do not care if he releases more than he has because even if he released them all the way up to when he worked his first job it would never be enough.

Obama is just playing a game with good ole Mitt. Obama knows there is nothing damning in his returns I am sure he as already seen them.

“”The law says Presidential candidates MUST submit two (2) years of taxes.””

What law? If there is a law about this now, why was one just introduced in the Senate in July for this very thing?

You can find Romney’s 2010 1040 Form here - something that has eluded the media - ALL MEDIA. There is no need for any speculation about anything or LYING from the floor of the Senate about at least this one return! Why on earth hasn’t all the criticism been countered by the media simply reading the first two pages of the return?

The dems want to bitch about taxes that weren’t paid - how could they speculate on that if they hadn’t at least looked
at this one return? Reid didn’t say “he didn’t pay ANY taxes for 10 years.” He said “he hadn’t paid HIS taxes in 10 years.”

Ryan released his tax returns for the past 2 years - get it? Two years is all that is required. Gosh, where are those who went through Sarah Palin’s trash? They couldn’t find anything there, and there isn’t anything here that influences my vote one way or the other. Just another Alinsky tactic.

I agree with you - don’t give them a damn thing. It isn’t any of their business. Romney is a prominent person, if he had done anything wrong for the past 10 years, he would be in handcuffs by now.

What stupid people to want this. People are just being busy bodies. They want to make this a campaign issue, and its ludicrous.

I want to know about 0’s social security card number & his selective service card. And his school records. Was he Soetoro or 0bama? And that little visit to Pakistan- visiting relatives? terrorist camp? or what? WHY did he & Mooch lose their law licenses? What happened to all that transparency he promised? And speaking of that...where are those Fast and Furious emails? And the details/ documentation for Solyndra & the other greed...I mean, green energy payo...I mean, subsidies?

What the hell is up with our president having an actual alias?!

It figures doesn’t it? For one confabulated “slight”, he is entitled to a dozen liberties of his own.

The longer he waits the more of a big deal he can make about Obama needing to release his records.

The more hysterical the left come over the tax returns, the better the opportunity to talk about who Obama really is and demand his college records - financial and scores.

Guarantee Romney paid plenty of taxes. The real issue is with 48% of the population paid no federal taxes and are all Obamugabe supporters.
