I imagine there are plenty of collectors out there who would give their eyeteeth for one of these, and chances are the rebels think they're just AK knockoffs...
I would love to tease some internet forum habituated by Iranians that somebody found an unknown hidden arsenal buried in the SW desert of Atomic Annie atomic artillery shells.
And we made those what about 60 years ago and Iran cannot make one in the last 5 years?
The ATF will probably soon be offering these up on eBay as a part of a massive sting operation.
That container sans receivers is worth a fortune in the U.S. just for parts.
“middle east” (excepting Israel)
“...if they have any brains...”
Quite a leap of faith, isn’t it?
Liked the comment about rebels trying to load 7.62x39mm in these weapons...
I wonder if they would be interested in a gun buyback program. I’d give them a $50 gift card to Chili’s for everyone of those.
trade something of value like a nanny goat.
WWII German SturmGewehr ping
The Stg 44 is still being made by some company out there. The price of a new one is over 2k.(I’m sure its not as rough looking as the original.) I guess its cheaper to buy a Romanian or Check, Stg 47. or Stg 74?
However, if one is to invest in buckets of drool, let us invest wisely.
How about a brand spanking new MG-3?

I bet you could place it on a small platform and have four guys carry it around on their shoulders for display and lightening bolts would emit from it causing all forms of government agents to flee in screaming panic.
. 7,92x57
Hell...I'll up it to US $51.00 per complete weapon.
Not an STG 44 but one guy at last weekend’s Reno gun show had just got a replica STG 44 that shoots .22 long rifle rounds. He was thrilled and just couldn’t wait to put it through it’s paces. I’m not sure what I would do with one, and it would be just another gun to have fall out of the canoe, but he was thrilled. Looked like the real deal and very cool. Cost him $750.
