WOW........bet she plays a mean game of billiards....what a shot....banked the .45 ball off the long rail...kissed the 8 ball....tapped the near rail...did a reverse off the 3...back to the far rail...and ** B_A_M **.... cleanly into the far corner pocket.

“The people who whine about guns the most have never seen one, fired one, or been shot by one.”

I have never whined about guns and I never intend to be shot by one either. My barrel is always pointed at a target and I ain’t a target!

"Central Texas woman aims for skunk, shoots husband"

Potato, potahto. I am a little curious to learn if the husband she shot is (was?) hers or the skunk's.

... the wife, who has a concealed handgun permit, came out of the home’s detached garage and saw a skunk. Kirk says the woman fired a .45-caliber handgun at the animal ...

I'm betting she was aiming at her husband. Who shoots a skunk with a .45 right by their house/garage? Dead skunks STINK. Heck, who shoots a skunk, anyway? Just don't do anything startling and wait for it to wander off.

...the bullet ricocheted off a deck, went through the house’s closed back door and struck the husband in the abdomen.
Nice shootin’ thar, Tex....

Yeah, the matchup in varmint size vs. caliber sounded suspicious to me too. Hadn’t considered the olfactory implications, but that’s an excellent point.

We ignore sulfhydryl compounds (or thiols or mercaptans, if you prefer) at our peril.

Methyl butyrate is a real winner too.

Reminds me of that story a few months ago where some guy shot at and hit what he thought was a wild pig that turned out to be his girlfriend.

What, he couldn't tell that before he started dating her?
