I guess Mark is mad that Romney is not a puritanical Reaganite.

I guess Mark is more concerned with his “intellectual” influence with a future administration he has burned bridges with, than actually getting rid of Obama electorally. “

He is a radio host, not a press secretary. If he puts on the pom poms for Romney, he wouldn’t be taken seriously as he would have to be a phony, and everyone would know it.

Ifyou don’t like his analysis you can turn on the Gamma level Hannity show.

I’m definitely not the establishment type, but really, do we want to win this thing or not?

Pssstt.....we already lost.

The glass is not always half empty. Sometimes it’s half full.

And sometimes it's just broken, like now.

“Reagan promised he would end the Departments of Energy and Education while also balancing the budget.

The national debt TRIPLED in size.”

Besides having a Dem House, Reagan had priorities

#1 Rebuild military and win Cold War
#2 Implement Kemp-Roth tax cuts

Reagan had also been burned on spending cuts. His 1976 plan of a $90 billion budget cut was enough to cost him FL in ‘76, and hence the nomination. From that point on he was willing to go with tax cuts, accept bigger deficits, and starve the beast. Worked well until Obama managed to spend stratospherically anyway.

“Reagan was NOT fiscally conservative.”

Outside of military spending,Reagan was fiscally conservative. The Dem Congress he was stuck with was not. They were the ones that were doing all the unrestrained spending he was stuck with. He did offset their prolific spending raising revenues via the growth that was engendered by his tax cuts. And even his increased military spending did eventually pay off with peace dividends when the USSR fell.

Well, that may be, but there’s no sense in pretending that Romney is anything other than what he is. A big government statist. Better keep your guard up. He’s already preaching about RomneyCare again.

Ok I get. Reagan was a scab who did nothing for the country.
That whole soviet thing was a ruse.

I’m glad Mark has the intellectual honesty to call things as they are. I don’t want to hear fantasies about how wonderfully and severely conservative our candidate is, and what a bunch of peaches belong to the GOP elite.

Does it bother you that not everyone supports Mr. Romney’s

Levin is supporting and will vote for Romney. He, like most us, doesn't think the world of Willard - but we are going to vote for him. Getting rid of Obama is job number one.

That I don't know, but I am assuming, to you, that Paul Ryan has been assimilated into the RINO Borg, like Cheney was assimilated into the Bush Borg.

It is YOUR choice.

Mr. RomneyCARE was carefully selected by the MSM
and the GOPe because he is NOT conservative
and because HE will continue Obama’s policies.

So what is it exactly, you are ‘getting rid of”?

Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin, Michelle Malkin and others are plenty unhappy with the turn of events.

And yet they are all supporting and voting for Willard. And the closer to the election we get, the more vocal each and every one of them will be in their support. Not because they like Mitt, few real conservatives actually do, rather it's because removing Obama from the White House is an absolute necessity at this point.

To the victor..... Romney won, we lost. But Romney is doing what a leader must do, he is exerting and consolidating power. I’m way to the right of Romney but my father taught me a long time ago that my tantrums would be met by a crisp whack if I acted out after losing. Play harder next time was the lesson. At 60 I still follow that admonition. Or I duck when I don’t. Reflexive.

To be honest...they weren’t his policies.

They were David Stockman’s.

Reagan signed on to them because they WORK.

Well, Ryan has already given up his budget and is deferring to Romney. There goes any hope for tea party ideas from the White House. Romney is a Keynesian who believes more stimulus spending will be necessary to save our free-economy. Free-economy saved by big government? Now there’s an oxymoron for you. Mostly moron. And more like a donkey than an ox. Don’t let your guard down.
