The empty chair is quickly shaping up as a powerful metaphor for Obama’s presidency.
For all the people saying they should have used an empty suit...nope. The empty chair is proving much more powerful (and will, from now on, be associated with Obama).
Using the empty suit or adding an empty suit just complicates the metaphor.
I think that statement “You Didn’t Build That” will haunt him all through the campaign. And also into his after-life ...
We need to photoshop an empty chair into the background of every one of Romney’s photos.
Romney’s leading, Obama is scampering to catch up.
Nice! Thanks for the ping!
Nah, just a couple of Rallies with a empty chair and a Teleprompter on the end of the stage....Romney says, He said he'd cut the deficit in half in 4 years, he said he would create 8 million new jobs, he said we would again earn respect in the world...It didn't happen. (Ask he jestures toward the chair) Why Mr. President, it is what you said you would do? After a second or two Romney could then say 'Hmm nothing to say? Must be the teleprompter quit working again!'
The only thing missing is a sign on it saying, “On Vacation”.
Many talking heads today are trying to replicate the empty chair skit......got to hand it to Clint...he nailed it...
