The Secret Service is looking into a sign posted in Victoria, Texas.
The sign says “Pray for Obama”, but it’s the scripture quoted below those words that is raising eyebrows: Psalms 109:8.
Psalms 109:8 reads, “Let his days be few, and let another take his office.”

Wow. These verses have been well-publicized for about 3 years now. I posted them on my facebook page then, so I guess I can expect a knock on the door any day now.
It's a totally quality job that deserves proper recognition.

That’s what I’d like to know. Are they trying to manufacture a threat where no real threat exists? We all know how they like to operate in crisis mode, gives them freedom to do things they couldn’t normally do. Heck, we all want his days to be numbered. How many days to January 20th?
If you read the whole Psalm, it is the psalm-writer asking God to bring judgment on the wicked. The entire Psalm 109:
“Hold not thy peace, O God of my praise; For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened against me: they have spoken against me with a lying tongue. They compassed me about also with words of hatred; and fought against me without a cause.
In return for my love they act as my accusers: but I give myself unto prayer. And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.
Set thou a wicked man over him: and let Satan stand at his right hand. When he shall be judged, let him be condemned: and let his prayer become sin. Let his days be few; and let another take his office. Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow. Let his children be continually vagabonds, and beg: let them seek their bread also out of their desolate places. Let the extortioner catch all that he hath; and let the strangers spoil his labour.
Let there be none to extend mercy unto him: neither let there be any to favour his fatherless children. Let his posterity be cut off; and in the generation following let their name be blotted out. Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with the Lord; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out. The psalm writer does express his desire that God judge and take the life of this wicked man who was oppressing not only him, but all the weak and defenseless around him. So, I guess you could make an argument that quoting the psalm against Obama could be a “death threat”. But, it’s not a death threat on the part of the psalm writer - he’s asking GOD to do the killing, not himself.
It’s kind of like that line in “Fiddler On the Roof” when the Rabbi is asked if there was a proper blessing for the Czar. His reply was, “Yes, May the Lord bless and keep the Czar - FAR FROM US!”

There was a physicist interviewed on Coast2CoastAM who runs the MERLIN Project doing scientific forecasting who mentioned that Obama’s numbers run very similarly to MLK’s numbers.
