I filled a 12 gallon boat tank today..

55 dollars in premium non-ethanol fuel.
10 bucks of 2 cycle oil.

65 bucks worth of fuel gone in an afternoon at the lake.

We used to take drives to state parks and the neighboring state last summer. Last summer we were gone most every other day. This summer we stayed home. It costs us $8 each time we drive into town. No wonder grocery and other prices are skyrocketing. We pity those who have to pay for fuel back and forth to work in low paying jobs - but democrats have no sympathy for any of us.

May the backlash of the unemployed and those fearing job loss, along with Catholics, those supporting legal immigration, those who value human life and those who believe in the sanctity of marriage come to the ballotbox, no matter what the fuel costs in November.

That’s one reason I take my 6 gallon boat out only once or twice a season. And that’s with draining the last quart or so out of the two-stroke bikes and recycling it in the outboard. But I do make the most of the boat trip or two and really enjoy them. Many people just shut the motor off and float down the Columbia here after the trip upstream. I can always judge summer gas prices by seeing how many boats are drifting. Problem with boats is there’s really no way to economize much other than turning off the ignition or idling. Once that hull drops off plane you’re not saving any gas. Premium non-ethanol 4.29 here or was yesterday.
