Are you kidding? DS9 got off to a rocky start but it had some really great episodes as early as the first season, and it really took off towards the end of the 2nd season. Their adding Worf was great but by that point the show was already awesome.

Worf has been a draw for the series.

Klingons are not talking about themselves but the other guy.
“Today is a good day to die.”
Hegh ‘to die’
-lu’ imperfect/passive
-meH purpose
QaQ ‘to be good’
jaj ‘day’
-vam ‘this’
More literally, “This day is good for someone to die.”
(yea, I know. You don’t have to say it, just thought I’d clear it up for you)

Life is tough when every day is a good day to die. ha. The crew must be scared all the time.

“Does Chase Masterson qualify as a hot chick?”
My mistake. She’s hot and she’s a USO gal who visits our troops.

For what it’s worth, I consider Nana Visitor hot (though not as much as Masterson).

Enterprise had a very good premise,’The beginnings of Earth's interstellar travel and early interaction with an alien species, the Vulcans.’ Started OK but tanked faster then a negative 4th order exponential !

I’m still trying to wrap my head around the fact that they cast Scott Bakula as the captain. LOL

Just keep that little dork Alexander off the series and it will do fine

Always liked Worf. He was more Spartan than Klingon.

Well it could have been Scott Baio!
Do you remember the SciFi series “Space Above & Beyond”
that show started with the same premise. Beginnings of earth interstellar travel, Earth was a loose confederacy of nations that meaintained their sovereignty yet cooperated to explore and protect earth. It all had futuristic plausibility. Beginning storyline had plausibility, but after a few good episodes the writers after being in “ CreativeVille” clearly found it scary. They went back home to the comfort of preachy social commentary plots and vapid political correctness. The series lasted two seasons and was gone.
With the exception of Rodenberry (maybe!)Hollywood writers can't write SciFi! And people that can can't sell it to the “entertainment decision makers”.

Huh? Just because something happens offscreen doesn't mean it never happened. We never saw Kirk promoted to Admiral, and yet he was an Admiral in the first Star Trek movie. Obviously his career would've continued forward.
As for the second point, seriously? He's a KLINGON. He doesn't look all that differently from Klingons portrayed by white actors. Moreover, the "black-man-as-leader" motif has been used long before 2008. I don't see what issue you could possibly have with that so long as it's done well. Sisko was easily one of the best captains on Star Trek, and it wasn't because he was black.
