A science fiction/fantasy/comedy that came out this year but is definitely below the radar in the US is the Australian made “Danger 5”. Currently rated by IMDb at 8.1.

Last week's Alphas wasn't bad -- I thought they were going to recycle an old 4400 plot, but they twisted it.

I can see parallels between Stanton Parish and Jordan Collier.

And now that I think of it, both The 4400 and Alphas have Summer Glau as a woman with an ability.

“Revolution” was inane and juvenile pap for the dumb masses. My wife saw it on the channel guide and recorded it foe me so I felt compelled to give it a viewing. 15 years into cataclysmic change, fortitude would be the rule of the day. No one could get away with being peevish or petulant such as the prima donna girl lead. The bearded comic relief would have long since died of stupidity.

Someone else pointed out that unless the laws of physics suddenly stopped working, electricity could never go away. It is a stupid idea for a show, after 15 years no one thought to coil up some copper and wiggle a magnet near it? If electricity just suddenly disappeared we would cook from the suns radiation.
