You beat me to it. “Impact” is the wrong word, which has a totally different meaning. I cringe every time I hear it used wrong which is all the time.
The word “affect” is the correct word.
And how about the word “FebUary” rather than the correct pronunciation “FebRUary.” That drives me bonkers.
“Sources close to ____ say...” or “There are some who say...” which translated means “Listen closely to this s*** we just made up out of whole cloth...”
