A Texas schoolgirl is nursing a bruised and 'blistered' behind after she was spanked by her male vice principal. Springtown High School sophomore Taylor Santos was walloped by the teacher after allegedly letting another student copy her work. But her mother, Anna Jorgensen, has complained to the school, furious that they allowed her daughter to be brutally paddled by a man.

The day after her daughter's spanking, Jorgensen called the vice principal to complain but he defended his actions. 'He told me this was normal for her bottom to look like this after receiving swats, and that he was not aware of the school policy that females swat females,' she said. 'He used too much force.'

I don’t condone cheating but a lot of posters on this board seem to take this more of joke. I just have one question:
Doesn’t Texas have laws against assault and battery?

‘Tis unlikely in the extreme that anyone “got off” weilding a paddle, but it is possible. Should we ask the Public Relations department of Pervs-R-Us?

I believe in discipline for bad behavior, including cheating.
It can turn a good boy or girl to the right path, or at least make them think of consequences, even if they don't want to.

So many questions about this story:
Why is there even an option for a high school teen to choose being "paddled" over a suspension or detention?
Plus, if the student is choosing the punishment herself, how is it a deterrent, anyway?
Suppose a parent were doing the same thing - would the same school officials be calling Child Protective Services on the parent?
Suppose a homeschool parent had the same policy...?

Since no charges were filed and there is no mention of an investigation in the article, I'm assuming that no crime was committed.

I doubt that he ever would. The school district will cover for him and at most he will be reprimanded and his contract not renewed or cancelled.
But you have to wonder if he in fact refers to this as "normal blistering"???
How often has he been doing this that he calls it "normal"???
Does the board of education know of this "normal" activity of his??? if not why not??? the community should be outraged.
You are missing the point. Manipulating them denies them the choice and they never learn about choices and consequences.

There is the appearance of impropriety here, and the vice principal left himself wide open for questions as to whether he enjoyed it a little too much, when he offered up his expertise about just what a spanked rear normally looks like.
Wisdom of the policy aside, the vice principal is an idiot at a minimum and possibly could be deriving some sort of sexual thrill from this. Can him. Now. Hopefully this will stave off any lawsuits. You know there are other girls who will come forward after this.
How did he know it was normal?? Did he examine it???

However, the fact is that child abuse and sexual abuse in schools has been a growing concern and there is a great awareness among the public of the problem. The recent PENN STATE controversy comes to mind.
How in the world could this VICE PRINCIPAL be so DIMLY AWARE of what is going on in the Educational Field and LIFE in general (heck, even Law Enforcement requires that only FEMALE COPS pat down FEMALE SUSPECTS) that he thought SPANKING a 15 year old girl would not be a possible ISSUE ?

Where is this child’s father ? If that was my daughter I would discipline her myself for cheating but I would also be paying a visit to my lawyer and the school after leaving bail money with my wife because I would be thumping this guys head.
She should have been spanked by a woman teacher/principal/coach rather than a man since at her age...15 or so 16 I’m guessing.. it most definitely does enter into the realm of sexual connotation
rare is a man who has not swatted a naked female butt at least once in his life and that young lady was far too much on the cusp of womanhood for a man to be doing that...God forbid with his bare hand...I would be furious
I am 110% for school spanking but after puberty they should be done by same sex administrator and always with an instrument like a paddle etc
I was spanked at school as a boy by women as a grade schooler by by junior high it was always been men*...coaches or assistant principal
* I had a lady principal who spanked me at aged 13..a very voluptuous yet stern lady...later she became principal of the local high school and was later caught having high school boys over while her husband was away on trips and plying them with drink and having gang bangs with 4-5 at a time...true story...
so..I am with the mom...that gal was too old for a man besides her husband one day to be spanking her
